The Undertaker is amazing when you think it's all real. My grandfather said he was friends with all the people he fights. No, he's un-dead and he's too evil for friends.

No love or recollection of Thundercats among any of you?? As I recall that was just as big as the the Turtles at the time. Here at least

Thunder Cats seem ok but i didn't get too into it. But i've known quite a few kids who were really into it at that time. Beats Power Rangers though.

Especially when he played the dead guy role back in the early through mid 90's. Favorite match: Him and the sumo wrestler, Royal Rumble 94. Hitman was my all time favorite at that time.

  6. Thundercats was huge in the 80's. But it was never on TV where I lived, or I was just napping whenever it was on. And for some reason I thought it was more of an upper class phenomenon than your He-Man or GI Joe. I thought Thundercats was for rich kids.

But this past year I've gotten around to actually watching a few shows, and it's a classic cartoon, but who would expect any less from the 80's? Being a kid in the 80's was freaking golden.

you all would have gotten your asses kicked at my school. it was 100% touch football, every day from first grade until recess wasn't a thing anymore. you could watch power rangers or whatever on your own time, but you didn't bring that shit to school.

Well if you've followed the thread, now you know the show it was based off of preceeded Voltron by nearly a decade.

I played football at school as well, definitely not 100% of the time. You never played that game where you have a bunch of kids to start and throw a tennis ball off a wall and if someone fumbles the bounce off the wall, they have to run to touch the wall but if another person picks up the ball and throws it on the wall before they reach the wall, they have to then stand in the middle of the wall stationary and the person who picked them off gets a free shot and if they hit them the person is eliminated?

    that doesn't sound familiar?

we did have other games of course, but they were organized games during gym class. during recess, it was literally all football all the time, except when it was too cold/wet/snowy to go outside, in which case we had recess in the gym and played basketball. every time forever.

  13. Voltron was 1000X cooler than Power Rangers, whichever came first.

I also digged stuff like the gummi bears a lot.

Agreed! :) I also think it was a far better decade to raise kids

And the 90s were the freaking best for young adolescents! I feel pretty lucky that i went through puberty in that decade

    It was nice, wasnt it
The music was good, the clothes and hairstyles were good (so glad I dont have to live with the regret of 80s clothes and hair!), and it was the last era before society got so damn paranoid and stopped letting kids have any freedom. And hardly anyone had cell phones so we could disappear for hours and our parents had no idea where we were. What a time to be alive!
