I just uploded some pics I had stored on the memory card in my camera. Most of the pictures were taken about a week ago down at my parents' cabin. There are also some pictures that were taken at an old, dilapidated 19th century cemetery near our cabin: Spring melt The long and winding road Me standing in a field Pond view from the old cemetery
Cool; not what most people think of when they hear "New York". I love old gravestones. There are some great little OLD cemeteries around here and it's interesting to see the people's last names (mostly Italian and Swiss). Handsome, but how about a smile? Your pupils look really dilated...
Well, I haven't smoked anything in months, so it can't be that. I think it looks that way just because it's a crappy, sort of blurry picture. I must have moved my hand when I snapped the picture. Yeah, when most people think of NY, they think of skyscrapers and lots of traffic. Away from the cities it's a really beautiful place. Thanks for your comments, Elle.
Where exactly are those fields, rat? The cemetary looks like Irondequoit or Ontario perhaps? Or down in Gennesee?
They were taken down in the southern tier in the town of Howard, which is about 30-40 miles north of the NY/PA border -- about 75 miles and an hour and a half south of Rochester.
Nice pics. NY is a great all around state, I know it pretty well as a good bit of my family comes from there
