Here's some blues I'm fucking around with. Major blues not minor. It's sloppy and unfinished but you can have a listen: http://youtube.com/watch?v=qut_BB_3s0U Comments would be appreciated both positive and negative
It has a nice feel and musicality to it.You used the word sloppy-I recommend buying a $30 Korg electronic metronome and working with it to get your timing consistent. Not that yours is terrible or anything,it just needs a litle working on. Also, when you play the single-note parts up the neck, some of the notes are "fretting out"--there's more of a clicking sound than the fundamental sound of the note. One of the frets above the one you're fretting is deadening the note. This is most obvious on the highest note you play. That can be caused by one or more factors: 1) The action is too low (my first guess) 2) You're picking too hard (for how low the action is) 3) The neck needs adjusting 4) Some frets need a little leveling A good tech can do a set-up for you that balances all that. Hope that helps.Keep on picking.
