Soledad Descalza (Barefoot Soledad) movie

Months ago I finally put my hands on a copy of "Soledad Descalza" (Barefoot Soledad) , a Spanish movie of 2015 I've been looking for since it came out, with the benefit of english soft subtitles too. The producers must've gone bankrupt or else they're morons because there is no way getting it on DVD or any other media, digital download etc. but I had a series of catastrophic hardware failures that caused me to lose that movie before I was able to archive or share it (talking about that... I go the extra mile to buy a high end machine and it keeps crapping on me in bursts. I take PC's literally from dumpsters and piles of rubbish and they work like a charm. bah). That was the last straw and I set up an auto backup server in my LAN to never ever lose stuff again but for now the movie is gone.



The synopsis on IMDb:

"Soledad Descalza" (Barefoot Soledad) is a mix of a mockumentary (fake documentary) and narrative fiction that shows a one-year follow up in the life of Soledad Paramo, a woman who always goes barefoot everywhere on her own will. The fact that the protagonist, goes barefoot, is the starting point for a tragicomedy which also deals with other things such as modern art, artistic creation, social manipulation and the role of communication media and also be interpreted as a vision, sometimes satirical, of present-day Spanish society.​

I couldn't get the subtitles to work for the trailer, but I'm guessing its probably a silly movie.
But she's cute, her feet are pretty cute and she likes going barefoot.
What's not to like? I'd watch it.

 

i'd like for her to make a movie where she goes bare body.

 

Yo jäger, is the actual hard drive from the fallen machine still functioning? Have you tried plugging it to another PC as a slave unit to see if you could still recover the content?

I realized I had forgotten to archive that movie way,way after that drive's partitions were accidentally wiped away (and reformatted with a different geometry, etc). At this point the data have been rewritten in more than one fashion. Checked on all the other machines, laptops, fileserver, no dice. But it will come back eventually. It has been uploaded (and scratched off) twice on youtube, will happen again, hopefully. Only, the director, a moron named Juan Carlos Martinez, keeps complaining - and getting the movie deleted on youtube - every time someone reuploads it, which is great: your movie is NOT being distributed in any way - no disc, no digital download, no streaming, no shows in movie theaters , no nothing - yet you complain if someone shows it around. Copyright and stuff ok but still tu eres un idiota, señor Martinez.

 

After I checked out the preview I realized I've seen the movie a few years ago, I guess it was on vimeo, (the page about the author of his university still links to this, but runs blank).

It's fictional, but uses the stiles of documentary. Going barefoot is used as a synonym for “being other than mainstream” and about the effects this can cause; it’s a parable. As far as I understood it and I remember, Soledad finally resigns and decides to stop going barefoot in public due to the repressions she had to run through.


As the author is prof at an art university, maybe you can just contact him to get a copy.

Once I obtained a creepy dark obscure cult horror movie that had been lost, directly from the author, I mean he gave me a physical signed copy of a digital restoration of the entire, uncut flick. That earned me quite a lot of credit in some circles but that was a special circumstance, it was a very old movie and the dude died shortly thereafter. Don't want to bother this guy though also because there's no point. He is obviously either ashamed of it and wanting it to be forgotten or wants to commercialize it at some point therefore can't have no reason to let it go in the underground. I don't like his looks, either
If someone else wants to try this approach, good luck with that. I don't want to make friends with this guy, just snatch his stuff

those things are all scams. I've found 'streaming' sites claiming to hosts movies that are notoriously lost.

some dude uploaded it on YT and it didn't last long, video deleted, channel closed etc
before, it was available on Vimeo, but it got striken out by the usual rights complaint.

Dude. You're a rare gem. I really wanted to watch it once more.

 

We can't let the censorship police memory hole this barefoot cult classic so download for future re-upload. The download button is behind those three vertical dots bottom right of screen you might have to right click on the vid then > show toolbar.

 

No problem, once I saw they memory holed it it only motivated me to look more. I found it by clicking on images when searching, seems when you search something and click images it seems to bypass that new filter that puts all MSM web pages in the beginning of search results to bury everything else.

 

I'm starting to get real curious about this guy Martinez dry. He bothered to shoot a movie manifesto about barefooting only to want it buried in soft peat for three months and recycled as firelighters. The house Punto Visual produced just this movie in 2015 , then vanished: that's how cult movies die at birth, like Arcana .
