Soft, but hard is nice occasionally.

Please don't quote me on that.

soft for sure!!! The hard ones suck, at least for me, cuz for some reason I dont know how to eat em without them breaking...

my hard shelled tacos generally end up being eaten as a taco salad. Had I wanted a taco salad I would have made one, but I want my taco...SOFT SHELL FOR ME PLEASE!!!

haha when i first clicked on this thread i thought it was going to be about drugs...not tacos. lol either way, i like hard tacos, mostly because whenever my parents made them for me as a child, they made hard ones and they were deelicious. soft tacos don't seem like a taco to me. :)

    haha

Soft. Unless the shell is heated up to a perfect point allowing it to be not too crunchy, but at the same time not soggy. There's a mexican restaurant around here that does it perfectly.

If money was no object, hard. That way i could make a mess and not worry and just keep eating them. otherwise soft because they aren't messy.

I dunno i'm cheap. ha ha

Really i love hard tacos, but when you get them at TB they don't have much substance compared to a soft taco. Plus they always make a mess and it is a hassle to clean it up so if i was rich i would just leave the mess and keep eating new tacos. I could donate the mess to some starving person.

Honestly i'm still baked so that should explain it a little...ha ha

a taco isn't a taco unless it is hard IMO if it's soft its a burrito

i was just about to say - we call 'soft' tacos: burritos. they are not the same as tacos, i dont even think the ingredients are the same.

My family usually made a decision for tacos or burritos, originally tacos. then we started gettin burritos instead and i loved it! i could wrap it up and it wouldnt all fall out.
then we got tacos again and I was almost in tears when it crumbled all over my plate. i dont quite know why some people can eat tacos so gracefully while they fall apart in my hands.
So i just got some bread and put the crumbled taco into it.

    omg.

i call it the mexican sandwich. you basically are making a taco but then breaking the shell and holding it all together in bread.

i prefer it to a taco or a burrito.

    my vote: soft

hahaha you crazy people. A taco and a burrito are completely different. A tacos is just a folded tortilla with fillings. A burrito is completely closed and rolled shut with the food inside and it usually has more ingredients than a taco.. lol
of course im talkin real tacos and burritos.

no if you look at the definition

    Burrito straight from dictionary.com
bur·ri·to a tortilla folded over a filling, as of ground beef, grated cheese, or refried beans.
[Origin: 1940–45; < MexSp (Guerrero): stuffed taco, Sp: young donkey, foal, equiv. to burr(o) burro + -ito dim. suffix[IMG]]

    Dictionary.com Unabridged (v 1.1)

    Taco

ta·co [IMG]. Mexican Cookery. an often CRISPLY fried tortilla folded over and filled, as with seasoned chopped meat, lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese. [Origin: 1930–35; < MexSp; Sp: wadding, plug, prob. of expressive origin[IMG]]

    Dictionary.com Unabridged (v 1.1)
Based on the Random House Unabridged Dictionary, © Random House, Inc. 2006.

burrito doesn't have to be rolled close just soft and rolled over the meat etc.:cheers2:

even though soft and hard tacos from TB are the same ingredients that doesn't mean there burritos can't be filled with the same thing
