I've noticed lately that there seems to be alot more hatred towards hippies than I thought. I thought we were just a subculture that people payed little or no attention to. I've heard alot of people say that hippies are people who think they can change the world by becoming burnouts,hugging trees and not bathing.There's so much more to it all than that. They are missing the whole point of it all! They never stop to think of how we actually DID change the world in many small ways. These people aren't even thinking of why some of us do the things we do. We who hug trees don't do it just because. It has all the world to do with our deep respect for nature. Be kind to our mother earth,and she will be kind to you. It deeply saddens me to think of how ignorant society is! Does anyone else feel the same way??
I do. But, by posting this, many people on here are going to be rude and cruel to you. That's how the Hip Forums are.
Yea I feel that way sometimes, but then I snap out of it and realize things are'nt too bad after all. Just keep swimming and keep your head above water. Just try to make your "space" a better place!
in the general use of the word, only the dead would "count". dunno, it's hard to explain. there was a thread about the difference not too long ago...
I don't have that problem here....more the opposite, I dress too straight/soccer mom to be socially acceptable somedays. Frig, it gets to be work throwing something hippiesque into the mix every single fucking day...maybe i wanna just stick my hair in a pony tail and wear something generic once in a while. Hell, I might even want to wear a suit. G'd damn society *mumble* *groan*...&^*^%^&$$W#
