And so does government – it creates the infrastructure that allows private businesses to function.

And the ethos is very different markets are about the maximization of profit not public service corporations try to give as little as they can for the most they can get, public service is about trying to do the most amount of good for the most amount of people.

But a lot of wealth is not used to expand and improve a business it is used to speculation and graft, things that have no real benefit to the real economy – look at the amount of buyback going on in the stock market.

Honestly you still believe in trickledown economics?

And you still believe in Social Darwinism…really still?

"If a society is slanted so that it more benefits certain groups and not others then how can that be a good society?"

Back to Social Darwinist thinking – that people are in the social and economic position they are because of individual talent and work ethic rather than due to societal and economic disadvantage.

The thing is that in the US advantage is more often than not inherited not ‘earnt’, a baby can’t work to gain the advantage of been born into advantage and is a baby born into disadvantage lazy and so deserving of been disadvantaged?

Or... you could come in with sweeping leftist changes... :D Lol

I was thinking about this when they were discussing stimulus for us in the United States. Hey... why stop there? Lol

Again you make my point – you write a long post which is very, very short of solutions but full of complaints, blame and even insults, the one solution you do suggest about the police seems rather simplistic and naïve given the size and nature of the problem.

I’m here to speak, communicate and debate my biggest problem has been that right wingers often don’t want to debate because if they do its soon discovered their ideas don’t stand up well to scrutiny.

For me does a statement or opinion stand up to questioning and criticism?

If an argument or opinion turns out to be flawed or seemingly wrong when put under scrutiny - wanting people to agreeing to disagree on that idea doesn’t seem to make sense – it has been shown to be flawed or wrong.

And bad ideas can lead to people supporting bad actions and policies

Nobody is as obtuse as you pretend to act. We see your agenda. We can speculate on the motives. We also see your silencing tactics. And we're not falling for your lame insinuations. At least not those with an IQ of 100 or more.

Anybody who imagines themselves starting a business can see the obvious things I pointed out. Imagine yourself starting a used book and record store, a specialty restaurant, a home/office cleaning business, a motorcycle repair shop. Pretend for a moment you have the drive and confidence. You're obviously gonna wanna profit. Buy more shelves, tables, cleaning equipment, tools. Hire more people, serve more people instead of turning them away. It's just pure common sense. Duh.

Did you deliberately dismiss the answer? Clue: personal income. Taxable personal income. Doh.

LOL well can you tell me what it is then?

Then speculate away – what are your thoughts?

I grew up in small businesses and have had my own, one of the reasons I am a left winger is because I would want to protect such small businesses from the big ones and the evils of crony capitalism.

LOL I mean come on when I talk of speculation, graft, the stock market and buyback schemes you instantly think of a corner shop wanting to put up some new shelves…really?

Honestly you still believe in trickledown economics?

And you still believe in Social Darwinism…really still?

So, why attack business owners if it's the stock market you have a problem with? Can you enumerate the problems you perceive with the stock market? Do you have any potential solutions to offer to counter those problems?

I'm not going to read your mind. State your own motives yourself.

Whining about how displeased you are is not a solution oriented approach to correcting anything.

    Broken records...
    Can't define a problem.
    Can't propose solutions.
They just parrot narrative, taunt people, and steer in a different direction when asked for specifics.
Then they come across as if they want to be considered credible.
    Face palm.

Business offers goods and services during TV advertisement. When you go to buy the goods and services they use bait and switch tactics to sell you something else. If you do buy the goods or services, you'll find out the next day that they lied and cheated you. When you go back to the seller, you'll get the oh but ... oh but. Most businesses and their owners are liars and members of the Republican Party. They claim to be honest but in fact they are crooks. They hide behind the flag and the fake image of conservativism. I would rather have the government provide the goods and services. I would rather take my car to a state owned repair garage and get my car fixed properly instead of having some crook mechanic inflate the cost. I would rather have the government deliver my mail. I would rather have a government employed dentist fix my teeth. And I would rather have a government employed shoe seller sell me new shoes. Inflation and fake price markups would be a thing of the past.
