well Lenin, it was socialism. Is was left politics, socialism. Changed from a capitalist state into a socialist state. So yeah, beware of the iron fist under the guise of being the good guy, the socialists
well my answer is, being in a country and seeing the changes that were brought about, as the people here became slaves to the socialist policies brought in, that nearly bankrupt us and the asshole stepped down leaving the country in a mess... one we are still trying to crawl out of 40 years later, who would want what we have? never knew the question was directed at me. Did he quote me!?
I think you knew and were avoiding the question. And equating living in Canada, a wealthy first world nation with slavery seems more than a little outrageous.
no,I honestly didn’t. Shrug* as for a wealthy First Nation, you are mistaken. Only those at the top promote this falsehood.
So everything is fine when the right is in charge, and we have pure capitalism, and the poor don't even suffer?
as I said in the beginning, I don’t know the answers, I do know that it isn’t socialism the answer. It kills everyone. It makes everyone a slave, but there is still a divide, only greater. I don’t agree with pure capitalist either. Where those who meet hard times are not taken care of. As I said as well, there is a budget ... many things to consider. Do I believe that I should make as much money as a painter as a medical doctor does? A good one? No, but I have potential too, if good enough and make more ... but I have to die first, Lol. Does this help the community as a whole? Being a painter? How about farmers? Or someone who needs help? Do you supply necessities or do you supply wants, because someone wants what another saves lives for, or feeds others? I agree with helping those who can’t care for themselves, or communities that are struggling and needing clean drinking water. I can’t agree with helping those who live outside the borders. It just takes from the people who have slaved for the government, where our own family is put last. It is greed to want to put your family first in socialism, but the government says no to families first who are within. Give to your government first and what is left after we take, you try to etch out a life, a life you struggle to have.
well all I can say it isn’t what we have endured in Canada. It nearly caused bankruptcy like Venezuela, but the right stepped in and workeD their ass off to prevent the nightmare, still keeping our medical but cut backs had to be made. Socialists cut back on the beds allowed in a hospital, those allowed to be filled, said only 1 doctor workin* energ. Hospitals had to close. When the right did something like that they claimed it was brining in privatized healthcare, but it was the liberals that brought it about.
I can buy that the good guys aren't the good guys, rather slick politicians, but, at least in the US, the right is almost cartoonishly villain-like.
I look at politics as this... a lawyer, a politician, and a businessman, which one are you going to trust the most? Vote and hope for the best. In Canada’s case, an actor pretending to be a politician (incompetent, plus from the son of the worst thing to happen to Canada) or a politician/businessman Lol the lesser of the evils.
"Socialism will work if and only if you have the right people in charge." This is how I interpreted this post Maybe this is why socialism has never worked. No human being is capable of running a socialist society, and yielding the desired outcome that the pioneers of socialism envisioned. Humans are imperfect, corruptable, and don't have the mental brainpower to micromanage an entire economy in an efficient manner.
Maybe this is why the left are heavy advocates of cancer culture ummmm I mean cancel culture Excuse me
If the hammer and sickle symbol doesn't disgust you as much as a swastika symbol does. Then public education has failed you.
Just because you throw "democratic" in front of a word, that doesn't change it's meaning. Robert Mugabe and Hugo Chavez were elected democratically in their respective socailist countries. How's that working out for them?
It's nice to know there are so many experts on economy and socialism posting on hip forums. I'm just curious what everyone's qualifications are
Oh, here we go again, the politics of envy - the 'state' bails out the poor and the middle class can't abide that !!!
