funny response. How many anti socialism threads are their throughout this forum? One thread and it is taking over the forum. If you have counter arguments to statements made by anti socialism, please share. I doubt you can defend it and have had little success within this thread by doing so. So you have to make it a blanket statement like “Seems to me it's the "right wing brains" that are constantly ranting about socialism... They seem more affected than anybody else.” the effects of socialism has destroyed Canada and what it once was, which was great back before Trudeau senior infected it. Yes it is like a pandemic, one shows up and this is your response. in an anti socialist thread, There is a thread that was kindly provided by pressed rat, which directs people to many anti trump, anti republican threads throughout this forum. Look it up. You will find the constant ranting of a brainwashed idiology. .
you don’t live here. It is what the government promotes world wide, which is chalk full of lies. It is really sad what tactics, socialism ideology has done here. What the people have become, what they have come to accept as normal and believe they are free. They are not and are more like slaves in a government that takes their pay from January to the end of August. You have to cover housing, heat, water, garbage, plan for retirement, food, clothing, etc... and are taxed on that as well, with hidden taxes and additional taxes which you get to see. Everyone is struggling with the debt and the failing healthcare as taxes increase under liberals, and what they take goes up in smoke, we become more and more in debt. Many have to pay for addition privatized healthcare to get the care they need. It is not like you think it is.
Well if you're not happy with the decisions the Canadian Government is making on your behalf, you can always 'do the other thing' - LEAVE !!!
how about we go with a less biased report? Justice Department settles with conservative groups over IRS scrutiny yeah and the head guy comes out clean as others take the fall. As if this is unheard of?
just as socialism wants people to do. Drive all out who don’t fall in line! Nope, I might be the last free thinker standing. This is my land! Not yours, and not the governments, not the UN. This is my home! Just as your home is yours. Typical to dictate, if you don’t like it leave. Like Justin Trudeau telling Canadians that they better get use to it. Get use to him abusing our tax dollars. Is this a threat? you still fail to answer questions as well.
The US is basically an oligarchy where rich donors determine the laws. Most Democrats and most, if not all Republicans are bought off. The voice of the people still carries a lot of weight, but most people are delusional and think they’re going to be big, huge successes, and they don’t want big change. Social welfare only seems like the answer if you’re poor and hopeless or if you’re a bleeding heart liberal. And the rest have convinced themselves anybody worth a damn will be okay. The crony capitalists like it when people aren’t on equal footing. The truth is the average worker might be more intelligent, and we actually are their equals. So, in the absence of true supremacy, they bolster their egos by making absolutely sure there is always a class of people who have to struggle to get by. And that’s not a good enough reason, regardless of the Stockholm Syndrome that keeps these people in control. The answer may not be socialism so much as the need for everyone to develop conscience, honesty, and principal. Tom Steyer is a good example of this. The rich must forsake their elitism or nothing will ever change. That’s not socialism. That’s just maturity.
He’s one fabulously rich person who doesn’t put himself on a pedestal. How people make their money isn’t the problem. It’s how they see themselves and others. It’s how they were raised. According to Trump, when you’re a rich celebrity you can do whatever you want, up to and including grabbing women by the pussy. But even the upper middle class supports this way of thinking, the sense that they have to stay a class above the dregs of society: the laborers. What I’m saying is that we do need to support the less fortunate. I, myself, would be homeless if people hadn’t helped me out. I think wherein the problem lies is the idea that the law should compell us to do so. Ultimately it has to be a personal choice to be a person of integrity.
I agree with what you said. The only thing is that power corrupts. Anyone who points the finger, in my experience, has been the most corrupt. Not everyone is going to have integrity, as you said. I have it, my friends have it. You can’t make others have it. As you pointed out, laws won’t make it be the case, . It will never be something every one has. There will always be those looking to profit off ones integrity and compassion. Socialism is not the solution, believe me. I live it, As I said in another thread. Canadians at music concerts are known as the country of crossed arms. To what extent are you willing to go? I have reached a point where I am not willing to extend a hand beyond my borders. I can’t save the world. Countries have to be held accountable for their own. Governments have to be held accountable. Their focus should be on the people within first. If every government did this, held accountable, had compassion for the people within, the world would be better. Richest countries with the most and worst poverty, like Libya. That would be integrity if country rulers were forced to, through law enforced, to look after their own. It also isn’t possible to enforce on leaders and or the general public, through laws. There will always be leaders and people who exploit it, I have made sacrifices in my life, gone without for someone else. Tightened up the boot straps, gone without for another person or people. Did this help me? It was the right thing for me to do.p, because I have compassion. Not because of how I vote or whether I am left or right, but because it was right for me, I have struggled, gone without for it. No going out, no eating out, budget cuts, no more treats for me. I don’t regret it, but I can’t do it for everyone, which is what the government wants. I was isolated because of it, don’t regret it but I was not really happy either. There was nothing I could afford to do for my own pleasures in life, no cookie. It came down to the basics. It is difficult. I am glad the help is there for you. as it should be. back to Tom Steyer. Is he self serving? In the 1980s he made his money by investing in coal, natural gas, and oil, while the New York Times called him the most influential environmentalist in American politics, is this true? Meanwhile he is bankrolling coal related projects that have generated millions of tons of carbon pollution for a long time now, decades and many more to come. So his hedge fund has pumped hundreds of millions of dollars into coal power plants from China to Indonesia. I believe he is grandstanding personally and what you think he is, he truly is not, virtue signalling. I don’t believe he is humble. he will use his power to line his own pockets, more than anyone else’s. Cripple his opposition in business. Toss out pittance to the people and will be seen as the good guy, while he makes policies that allows his business interests to prosper, while supporting slave labour elsewhere and increases taxes. I don’t trust governments and that is what the trudeau family has taught me. Tom Steyer, if he becomes president, it will be the people who pay and are hit the hardest by it, especially the middle class who are struggling to stay out of poverty to begin with and possibly the most compassionate, understanding, knowing the struggles to succeed, stay above water while helping others.
Steyer is much like Trump. It has a lot to do with who you think he is deep down, despite everything. Then there’s Bernie, who honestly does have the moral high ground. When he talks about democratic socialism, his intentions are sincere. And he’s right that change comes from the bottom up. The problem is that his policies seem hypocritical in light of the masses who would enforce them that aren’t quite as sincere. You just can’t make people care about each other. To really grow, we’re going to need powerful people actually setting a good example. As it is, though, people idealize being rich and famous, from the top all the way to the bottom. Few and far between are those with genuine compassion. And the fight between the idealists and the so-called “realists” will go on. Until one day a miracle occurs, or a hero comes along.
Venezuela is capitalist in many areas and that means that a few elite control supply lines in a way similar to America. Because there is a demand and they have supply they profit. Not socialist at all. And like I said I know the truth. Conservative men are a minority and men don't buy many razors anyway. Anyone who thinks the market can be affected that quickly does not know the market.
yes, you see here, socialists have redefined things. Every liberal leader we have had in power, since Pierre Trudeau worked directly for him. He was a; evil man. the middle class become the poor, but let’s call them lower middle class now. The divide between the Rich and poor simply became greater. The poor are classified as lower middle, who can’t afford but are working their ass off and the poor remain in the same boat. The middle can’t help like they did, or can but their struggle becomes greater than it already is, I just can’t support that, but I can support progressive conservatives here who are middle road and help 5he middle class who do help others less fortunate. Socialists in Canada are extreme left, but considered middle of the road now, as that became the middle, but really it is far left. It is frightening, many don’t see it, how it became like this. They didn’t witness the shift. Believe the lies. I also see the clintons and Obama being closely aligned to Trudeau’s methods. I really wish you guys luck.
Less biased? The investigations found the IRS had use keywords to target both conservative and liberal organizations, no wrong doing or evidence of a political motivation was ever found, no "enemy hunting" was found and the conservative lawsuits were settled by the Trump administration DOJ, which is itself hardly non bias.
If that is what you want to believe. DOJ is the least biased you are going to get. Let’s look at what they are doing ok? You will most likely back them on the many things they are currently doing under trump. U.S. Department of Justice
Not surprising. Without a true change of heart, those with power will use any system to their advantage.
not a very good come back. You have a problem with this? Discrimination Justice Department Settles Claim Against Maryland Construction Firm for Discriminating Against U.S. Workers Or the 1.65 million in fines for illegal dumping of oil in the waters? Singaporean Shipping Company Fined $1.65m for Concealing Illegal Discharges of Oily Water how about a doctor funding ISIS Pakistani Doctor Charged with Attempting to Provide Material Support to ISIS or maybe this you find funny? Iranian National Extradited to the Western District of Texas for Illegally Exporting Military Sensitive Items from the U.S. to Iran Iranian National Extradited to the Western District of Texas for Illegally Exporting Military Sensitive Items from the U.S. to Iran maybe Obama was involved in this one? yeah, see this just goes to show how limited and hateful socialists are. They believe the bs which is fed and get news from political cartoons, an old one at that. Lol
