In China people were forcefully removed from their homes. Some were barricaded in, neglected, and left to die.

You're indeed the wisest in your response. I guess I thought if he's so easy to correct why not do it, but we all know how these threads by this OP goes...

 

You seem to be missing the essence of my post: such things happen regardless of the system people are in. It's a false argument putting it like the terrible situation Italy is in is due to them having a form of universal healthcare. They're overwhelmed because they are the first western country the virus could spread in. If the use of precautions get underestimated (certain areas in) the US might find themselves in a similar situation soon anyway.

 

This isolation being imposed is not really to stop it spreading, it is about the curve, if everyone gets together quickly it spreads and overwhelm the hospitals,like it has in Italy. This is about spreading it out so that more people can survive and hospitals can handle patients, So the capitalists are doing right by the people. This is about prevention, some will disregard it, which can hurt all in the long run. Prevention of hospitals without enough room or enough people to care for them all at a given time,
