Shale put this in the Religious & Philosophy section, but I thought I'd put it here for all the political fanatics too. http://slackhalla.org/~demise/test/socialattitude.php Here's how I came out.... Your attitudes towards economics appear socialist, and combined with your social attitudes this creates the picture of someone who would generally be described as left-wing. This concludes our analysis; we hope you found your results accurate, useful, and interesting. Unlike many other political tests found on the Internet which base themselves on untested (and usually ideologically motivated) ideas, this inventory is adapted from Hans Eysenck's own political inventory which was developed after extensive empirical investigations in the 20th Century.
It says I am a moderate progressive. Hmmm... I don't think so. These tests are dumb, because many of the questions are aimed at people thinking within a controlled left vs. right paradigm. Political Values Radicalism72 Socialism37.5 Tenderness56.25

I took it, lame as shit. Said I was Radicalism 60 Socialism 20 Tenderness 50 and labeled me a Libertarian It looked like a test that StpLsd would create. It asks random questions, then assigns you to some political party/group/ideology based on a miniscule bit of information, much the same as StpLsd does to members here. Although going by the absurdity and wording of some of the questions, it is the perfect "test" for Hip Forums.

I noticed that technically the test is well constructed as evidenced by getting exact same responses when selecting all the same type of answer. That shows that the questions/manner of assigning them "weight" is balanced and consistent, and it also helps to preclude "false" results by randomly answering the questions. But I think the test itself is a little lame in it's conclusions, but it is a small sampling of questions as well, so....
So the numerical values are 50 50 and the test is balanced and consistent and seems it would also suggest self contradictory or inconsistent views are unbalanced. That is if you perceive another being inconsistent with your own causes then you lack a degree of integrity.
NO, the technical manner in which the test is constructed is balanced, irregardless of the content of the questions. It could be a questionnaire about fly-fishing. In my youth I studied a lot of experimental psychology and related crap. One of the things we did was learn how to construct and evaluate questionnaires such as the one in question. Often in these type of things the questions themselves are almost inconsequential, it's the consistency of answers and general tendencies that are tested, not the specific answers. One way to see if this type of questionnaire is well constructed is to do what I did and take it multiple times selecting the same extremes of answers for all choices. Because almost nobody would actually honestly answer in that manner, it can reveal bias and flaws in the methodology of the test itself. The content or subject matter of the test is irrelevant to what I was talking about.
