I am just wondering if the Liberals have changed a bit under Jo ? Listening to Jeremy's speech yesterday . Brexit would be left to a second referendum which gives me the impression Labour are on the fence when it comes to Brexit . So IMO there could be grounds for talks between both parties on that. Jeremy also said that tuition fees would be scrapped and again there could be grounds for agreement on that if the original Liberal stance was to scrap them. I have a feeling that it could well be a Labour/Liberal coalition government in power before the end of the year.
No, no, no matey - the limp dems are far too fluffy. If Labour don't have an overall majority, its possible there could be a coalition with the SNP
Well who ever goes with who , I anticipate there will be plenty of "secret" deals going on behind the scenes . I think both Tory and Labour know, that they are unlikely to get a working majority as things stand . Personally I think it is time for change as I couldn't stomach another 4 years of Boris's blunders. Theresa looked like a saint in comparison to him and she made plenty of mistakes but did things through the proper channels. Whatever will happen in the next election , this weird and unusual situation we have at the moment is making British politics almost interesting again .
Politics has always been interesting matey, ever since I caught a couple of 'National Front' canvassers in an alleyway. Suffice to say they spent the next few days nursing cuts and bruises and the dustmen cleared away their publicity material.
But as you say on your profile - you're a far lefty. You've just admitted to practising what you preach here, therefore you're no different than the faceless antifa thugs who are ultimately no different than the likes of the EDL and NF. On topic though, I dislike all of the government parties or their leaders. Politics nowadays seems to bring out the worst in people. There's literally nothing anyone can say about any party or leader without some huge argument being flung about.
Good reference to people by the anonymous post, although I think it applies to a lot of people not just the Lib-Dems
I think some do take the Mick out of the Lib Dems .But I still think they could hold the key as to which party governs next. A noticeable trend in recent years is that the 2 main parties can't attract enough votes for an overall majority which makes the smaller parties have more of a say. I for one think that is a good thing .
When one looks at options for a Prime Minister I guess one has to look at the respective Party heads - whereas it is as Leaders perhaps one has to look 'outside the box'
The most popular / preferred choice often turns out to be the wrong one (Insert example here ,,,,,,,,,,)
Have we ever had a really good prime minister ? I think, all have had their fair share of critics. Probably a reason the next General Election doesn't excite me . I will have to vote though ,even if tactically as I can't stand our Tory elected MP .
You can't vote for her as you don't live here, but I have a 'good' MP: Caroline Lucas | Standing up for what matters
Your lucky It will be a case of tactical voting more than likely Labour to keep the Tories out . The Tories have had long enough . Its time for a change . I still don't think Jeremy will make a good PM but I prefer him to Boris.
Actully I disagree BoozerCruiser I think YOU would be much better, You seem like the guy who would not allow this country to be destroyed.
