So, when is the U.S. gonna start the air strikes in Syria?

I think, if this happens, WW3 is basically inevitable. And I don't think congress has anything to do with a decision, its simply a tacit to calm the people down and make them happy. This isn't even Obamas decision, he is but a mere puppet. Its much bigger than him, its much bigger than the US.

It isn't to help the people, no war has ever been declared to help the people (not in this day and age at least). It's not even to punish them, it is over pure greed, as is any war. But I do agree how the US acts as if it has to punish all other countries that do wrong and keep the world at 'peace'. And I've noticed a few people in this thread ask what gives them the right to do that... is it any different than the government punishing us? The citizens? This is just on a bigger scale. The US punishing another government is like a cop punishing another human. One human telling another human what is right and wrong, and one government telling another government what is right and wrong.

I'm 100% against another war, even if the stories of chemical attacks are true. It is none of our business what they do, and there is definitely no need to start another, bigger, war over it. Right? Sure its sad... But there's a lot of sad stuff in this world.

 

Yeah, I pretty much agree with everything you said there. Esp. your comparison to the U.S. policing the world and and policing us as well and how there isn't much difference- other than the scale of it.

Anyways, yeah...sadly enough, even though I have been still trying to hold out hope that maybe this will all not happen...that congress would have some say and say "no" and all this will just not happen... I've had the same thoughts myself (think I stated it earlier in one of the threads) that it seems that the "waiting for congress" thing is likely to just be a smoke screen, if that's the correct term (very tired right now and bout to head to bed actually... but wanted to ask you a question on your opinion about something- this has to do with my worst fear on the whole thing...)

When you mention Obama being a puppet (very true) and how this is much bigger than the U.S.- are you referring to any specific person, country, entity, etc., that is pulling the strings on this one in particular? I feel there is a strong possibility that this may be occurring the way it is occurring to set the stage for A- WW3... followed by B- all the disasters, for lack of a better word (hopelessness, starvation, civil wars, etc., etc...who knows... but really, shit to go DOWN).... followed by C- The fact that people have been duped for a very long time finally coming out in the open and it being too late.

John B Wells reported that Syrian locals said the chem attack came from the rebels. Some of the rebels had said a Saudi man gave it to them.

 

The majority of Americans are against bombing Syria, and they're all probably the ones that voted for him. Congress doesn't reconvene until Sept.9th. By then all the opposition could be gassed. I think the main reason Obama wants to bomb, is because he said he would is Assad used chemicals. He doesn't want to look wimpy.lol
But there are at least a half dozen countries in Africa that have been committing genocide on their own people since Obama became POTUS. Why hasn't he bombed them? China has been killing innocent Tibetan people for years,why not bomb China? I think Obama's ego is clouding his brain.

There is an international law against using chemical weapons, but not against a country having a civil war.

Why does that law exist? Because no country wants to end up on the receiving end!
