I built a coffin once too and had it on wheels. It got away from me and rolled down the street right past a drugstore. I ran in and asked the pharmacist if he had anything to stop my coffin. .
That is the COOLEST thing I have ever heard/seen. You are the coolest kid ever, I'm convinced now. I want a coffin and you did a KICKASS job at building that. It's beautiful! Aw man, you are badass.
nice coffin. pretty. i'd put some of that memory foam in there first though, but i'm a weenie. looks like a crib. i've always thought that we're born into the world helpless and shitting/pissing ourselves and getting stuffed into cribs then held in the arms of mother. seems fitting that we go out that way, too.
beautiful cat, too. is that a tortoiseshell? my daughter's cat is a tortoiseshell. sweet. i bet the cat ADORES the coffin. i like having cozy walls around me, too. but i'm a restless sleeper.
anyway, further thoughts on the subject: parents often buy those beds in the shape of a car, or a castle or wtf-ever. how's this fantasy any different than those?
me, i'd decorate it. like those people in africa who build their coffins in the shapes of boats or fish or whatever makes them happy.
When I saw the title of this thread, I started laughing. I still haven't stopped after 4 pages of reading. You were really serious, I can't believe it. Whatever about the parents. If your profile is true, you are a fourteen year old girl. That makes you one hell of a motivated and talented woodworker. Good on ya! I've said it before, I'll say it again, who aspires to be normal? HAHAHA, That's black, man.
Glad you got it in the house, you've got mad woodworking skills! If my fouteen year old were that dedicated to something as to go so far and build such a sweet rendition of anything (excluding huge wooden penises for sleeping in...guess there is a line) there's no way I'd be able to say anything but, 'More power to yah!' you know? Way to have a vision and do something about it!
Morbid and you have good craftsmanship. If you were 6 years older, I would say we were destined to be together.
