I was not aware that this forum had a reputation or that it could be ruined by anyone.

Kids who run around calling themselves hippies and complaining about the level of hippie-ness around here are annoying and cliquey. Seriously, is there some hippie bible with all the rules in it? I need to know if I am breaking any hippie commandments....

I don't call myself a hippie, I am just me. Labels are stupid.

This thread is as dumb as the ones where people ask if they are allowed to take a shower and still be a hippie...

To be a hippy is to embrace a cliche, you can have progressive ideas without burning nag champa incense and wearing birkenstocks while driving your BMW.

If you really want to make an issue of it, look back at all the people who were lumped into the 60's movement...for every "peace bro" type there was also an Abbie Hoffman.

Life is all expressing yourself, if it just happens to fit some hippy cliche to a T, so be it,but for most people it doesn't.

In my opinion, there are limits to peace and love, if somebody says something I strongly disagree with, I let them have it...."its all good" is passive bullshit.
