Sure, @Well I'm curious, click on their profile. But then what do you click on? The box where you can type something and then click the Post button just posts a public message onto their board. I've had people PM me and I see that in my inbox, and I reply and start a conversation, but I've never initiated a private conversation thread. So I don't actually know, @TroyPG, all the steps to private message somebody. But this is all on my phone using a web browser, so maybe there is an option available on a computer, but I don't know.

 

Click on their profile, then when it appears,click "Start a conversation",which takes you to a message page to type and send your private message.

 

"Troy" and "Well", after you 'start a conversation' and send something, then on your opening page, in the upper right hand corner, is "Inbox". That's where their reply will be.

 

"Start a conversation" is just not there for me, not in my web browser on my phone, nor on the desktop (at least not in an app on my phone that pretends to be a desktop, so you see the desktop interface) (my computer is currently broken).

When I go into your profile, @Suburbanray, all I see at the top is that you're male and when you were last seen; in the upper right that you are not following me, and links for Report, Ignore, & Follow; in the left sidebar your empty profile pic, the dates of your last activity & when you joined, how many messages you have posted, how many likes you have had, who you are following, and who your followers are; and then the four tabs in the center: Profile Posts which just shows one from @Poplo, your Recent Activity posts, your Postings, and under Information, your gender and links to find your content and your threads. There is no "Start a conversation" anywhere.

Any thoughts, anybody? Is there a setting I'm missing? The only related setting I've seen is who can start conversations with me, and I have that set to Members Only (instead of just people who follow me).

Candy Gal. There was a glitch a couple months
ago that took away the Start Conversation button for me, and they had to fix my account.
oldguynurse, this glitch still allowed me to respond to sent messages, just not create brand new conversations.
