yes that was part of the point of what i was saying.

pot is a gateway drug because people take it first because its common and benign. however, since society views it as a drug, people who smoke weed think that its safe to 'do drugs'. when its actually only safe to do some drugs. but this distinction is not made in society, and so kids move onto harder things, not realising the huge difference between weed and say, methamphetamine.

because i thin kyoull find most people who try harder drugs try them when a friend offers them. people dont tend to just decide to buy drugs theyve never tried before. however, if a friend offers them a 'drug', and they are already fine with smoking 'a drug', then in their minds, whats the moral/ethical/rational dillema?

no one said people were smart. most people are DRIVEN by social constructs.
