And my husband can't stop laughing because, according to him, all he can hear is a long string of curse words coming from the bathroom.......

    I had no idea.

Oh, still green. I was just doing an all over color touch up.

My hair will likely be green all summer.......

I love making green look pretty and feminine.....

Yeah but you have to strip all the life out of it in the beginning, making it ghostly white.

it is pretty common to see wildly colored hair on people downtown here in Kingston....what I have noticed is that some of these poor girls...and some dudes....are sporting really atrocious looking dyejobs....the pink on top of the bleach blond seems to be popular...as is the blue....but goddamned some of these people need to read the directions on the bottle...

    my dye story

I was in Vancouver in 1986 living in lynn valley right near the park....it was the 80s and highlights on dudes were in and my godmother talked me into letting her give me high lights.....

so she preps me and puts that shower cap looking hat on me and starts to use the little tool they give you....which is a goddamned crochet hook.....the tool pulls bits of hair through the holes in the stupid shower cap so that you can highlight strands of hair.....

sounds pretty fucking basic......so she finishes and tells me to go look and almost fainted at the sight of me......I was entirely bleach blond....she had pulled way way too much hair through the holes and I looked a long haired billy idol.....white headed.......I flipped out..........she drove me to her hair dresser and paid them a hundred bucks to reverse me.....my hair was never the same again lol

i'd like to see ash try red :)

Oh, I love red hair, especially naturally red hair. I think it is so, so cool. I've dyed my hair darker red in the past, but it is very difficult to dye it at home (hardest color to apply evenly) and it is a lot of work to maintain.

I had darker red hair as well (sort of ombre-ish), but I had it done professionally.
I wouldn't dare to do such drastic things to my hair on my own xD

Tell me about it. I had a few hair disasters this year, so I am definitely a lot more careful when it comes to home dye jobs.

I had great luck with manic panic's vampire red. Have you ever used their products? I didnt bleach my hair beforehand but I had blonde balayage in it so the red came out very dimensional with varying shades of red. It faded out of my natural brown color within 6 weeks but eventually faded to a pretty pinkish red on the blonde streaks.

I was thinking of doing it again but it is very intense for the first couple of weeks
