I hate ACV... makes my hair stink for weeks. I really dig baking soda and lemon juice, makes my hair feel fresh.

Yeah I could never understand how people could use ACV. I think I would rather put gas in my hair

I've only used ACV twice, but the smell seems to leave after it has completely dried after a shower. I like how it makes my hair feel really soft, and does a good job of getting rid of dandruff.. if only for a couple days.

just not the case at all with me. The wind will catch my hair weeks after I used it and I'll smell it in my roots. The only cure has been baking soda.

And it makes my hair feel too soft for my tastes anyway.

i thought maybe he meant it the other way around?- like use the acv after the shampoo... still I dunno if that would be better.

I haven't tried dr.b I have used BS and lemon juice for years (even predreading) and been fine with it so haven't bothered.

I tried baking soda and it just didn't feel like it got my hair clean at all... ACV was slightly better, but I didn't really like it either... I wouldn't even try to use Dr. Bronner's just for the simple fact that its not residue free... I've been using Knotty Boy's liquid shampoo and it always makes my hair and scalp feel clean and rinses clean as well. My only problem with it is the price, but after 2 months I'm not even throught 1/3 of the bottle, so I guess its really not that big of a problem in the long run, still comes out to be less than I spent on shampoo, conditioner and products back when I had undreaded hair. Oh, love the tingle of the peppermint oil as well. =)

just like if you have "normal" hair, you have to alternate shampoos to prevent build-up. i use bronners (diluted), a couple different burt's bees, and baking soda.

Sometimes I worry that I'll smell like ACV, but I agree with Pandy, it does seem to disappear as soon as it's dry. Actually, I ran out last week so need to get more.

I love how everyone has their own little recipe. It truly does boil down to preference. :)

Ya, sure you do. Lancaster? Am I thinking of the right spot? I went there for track and field OFSAA when I was in grade 9. I thought that was on a big ol' hill.

edit - it wasn't track and field it was Cross Country... and maybe I was in grade 10. Either way, longs time ago.
