So I had bought a mac from somebody online

Had the money in an envelope and said that he could count it if he wanted.
His response was that he wasn't too worried about it and was on his merry way.

I could have put monopoly money and been on my way with a new macbook and he would never have known until I was gone.

 

Most likely it was a stolen computer and it was no loss to him either way.

 

He seemed fairly reputable and knew what he was talking about.
It was an old mac from 2009 and works like an absolute charm.
Doubt it was stolen.

 

using reverse email contact and phone records. can trace theft back to you.

 

If it was stolen they wouldn't bother putting it to factory settings let alone installing the latest iOS.
Not worth a thieves time.

i always count it and tell the person im checking to make sure they didnt accidentally pay me too much

Ohwell. Would be my loss. It doesn't bother me that much either.

 

first off ..if it's 2009 I doubt if it's stolen and when I sell something and they hand me an envelope and I know where they live I never count it there either..i take their word for it
