lol u have honor on the internet? if its the first forum u ever signed up on, what honor do u have to defend? is this fuckn world of warcraft?
nope not insecure at all i just don't like haters. i'm actually quite confident in myself, and i have many talents.
Raaah I have all these crazy conditions look at me I want attention. I hate when people try to play this game. Your stupid.
Ninja Needles You seem like a very pleasant well mannered person. Want your new growth to knot faster? I and a few others would suggest the old taco sauce to the forehead trick.. works a charm. Studies also show that swearing slows down the rate in which new hair knots. So all this swearing is only hindering your locking process. I bet you do.
well IM going to answer your question, my firend has had his dreads for 6 years and he just backcombs the roots and you can also do the root rubbing if you go to the dreadhead site it talks about what you can do with loose hair and what not
Wow I really hit a nerve with the penis joke huh? Sorry, I should probably rephrase that with language you understand - you fucking dumbass motherfucking cuntshit, get a fucking life or go slit your fucking little insecure emo wrists and get yo mamma to kiss that little pinkie piece of dick fluff better now. Sheesh lol P.S. For the internet illiterate, that's a total of five light-hearted smilies and a lol to convey my general lack of hate and malice. Bit like that "lmao" in my first reply, which I really thought would've been enough; that and my own stupid mug in my sig. Ah well.
Anyways... yeh the new growth does just lock up on its own. I've had about 4 inches of growth since my dreads began, and only about .5 to 1 inch of that is undreaded. There are things you can do to encourage it a little, like root rubbing, which does help a bit, but soon becomes dull.
im too lazy to read all five pages of the thread but my hair grows pretty damm quick, in fact im yet to meet someone who's hair grows as fast as mine, however just leave your hair do its thing, thats the beauty of dreads, they pretty much do all the work for you. oh and dont mind the guys there funny in their own way and you will get used to them if you stick around
the tolerant man adapts to his environment, the intolerant man adapts his environment to himself. if you agree with the above statement progress is always made by intolerant people
haters hatin haters who are hatin haters hatin I <3 people going to somewhere advertised as a hippy forum and then calling them the haters, and is it really necessary to swear every other word, I don't understand the point, if you swear rarely then when you do it has more emphasis, but if your f'kin, shittin, c u nxt tuesday every sentence it just gives the impression of clutching at straws, the inabillity to construct a proper argument so out of insecurity reverting to child-like insults. I'm not saying that this is you, but that is the impression you give me from the way your behaving.
because she's never seen her cock! I mean fucking hell, if your so insecure about your god damn cock, I get a tonne of emails a day in my junk mail with offers to enlarge mine. I could forward them? Amy made one joke and this guy hurled a whole paragraph of personal insults back at her. That's not fair imo and we shouldn't accept personal insults. I lold
I know people have already answered as well, just thought I'd chime in as well. You do not need to rebackomb, your hair will dread as it grows. To grow dreadlocks you need time and patience, if you have plenty of this you'll grow dreads. You will always have some non-dreaded hair at the roots, never mind how old they are, more on some whilst less on others. Roots are never dreaded, once they grow out they dread (and of course are then no longer roots). You can root-rub if you wish which gives the illusion that they are locking more, but really I don't believe it does anything at all other than giving them a neater appearance. And as to the long term effects of over maintaing re-backcombing/root-rubbing etc. (if you're planning on keeping your dreads for a long time), there have been reports of damage and weak spots which probably comes from over maintaining. It's not certain, that it will happen, but something to think about. A long time ago I used to root-rub (because dreadhead told me to) and at some point I just stopped, I've noticed no difference in the length of undreaded hair, just my dreads are maybe slightly messier... Just a thought on the stickies, is there anyway they could be in a different colour or something? Is this possible at all, anyone think this is a good idea? (Mods?) I don't know if that would break the rules for the layout? It might help them stand out even more. I remember when I found this forum (my first forum then btw) It took me a while before I realised regardless of what page I was on, they were'nt moving from the top of the page, saw the drawing pins on the right hand side, read the word sticky, then I finally twigged
Don't listen to what this guy is saying. It's terrible advice. Your hair at the roots eventually grows into tangles hair that dreads on its own. Any intervention with the process will only hinder it. And that's famous line "so my friend who has like dreads for X years, they do....wax, crochet, (insert other myths)." Sorry, dude, terrible advice. Take from people who actually have dreads. Don't re-backcomb, crochet, root rub, or anything of the sort as it's a huge waste of time.
O.K. thanks to the people that actually gave advice instead of shit. As for the people that were give'n me crap i'm ignoring you now. It's a new day and i'm not putting up with your shit.Have a nice life i know mine is good.
lol, I'll look into it merrivale. Not sure if it can be done but I agree, I think it would help a lot. They could do with at least being in bold. Thanks for contributing :cheers2:
also, do not re-backcomb your roots. that is the dumbest (sincere) advice i've ever read on here. ninja, hit me up by private essage if you need real advice. ha ha ha ****
