I think you missed the point of the movie and the goal of the Joker character that you approved of.

i loved it,my only complaints are

    THAT VOICE

and the fact that ledger's performance completely overshadows gary Oldman in the public conscious, you know? its a fantastic understated piece of acting, really the heart and sould of the film, the man with the weight of the world on his shoulders, torn between conflicting ideologies

i literally remember sitting in the cinema thinking how similar he was to alec guiness' performance in the TV adaptation of "tinker tailor soldier spy" absolutely phenomenal, says and does so little yet says so much.

not too long after he gets cast in the same role in the film adaptation. perfect casting. what an understated powerhouse he is. i thought it was a shame he didn't get more screen time.

It was good when the joker was on the screen but otherwise... bleh. It kept getting more and more boring towards the end. I didn't like batman at all.

I prefer the more cheesy batmans, with Arnold Schwarzenegger, Poison Ivy, and Jim Carrey.

I still don't see why the joker in this batman movie is so superb and better than the others.

I found The Dark Knight Rises to be the best one out of the three. I know that it's not the choice for many people however I thought Bane was far more effective as a villain.

I liked The Dark Knight, but pretty much only for Heath Ledger's acting, which was fantastic.

Aside from the Joker, what you essentially had was another dreary Nolan movie, which takes itself far too seriously given that is is about a man dressing up as a bat to fight crime.

Of course, taking himself far too seriously seem's to be Nolan's signature style, so nothing new there.

He was 2D. Had no desire than to destroy Gotham for the sake of it.

So did Joker, but that was built up into this kind of Nietzschen rationalist nihilism.

It was better than batman begins and the new one but I can't get into them. The batmobile sucked ass and the batman voice was pathetic. He even spoke like a retard to people that knew he was batman. And everyone says the Joker was awesome and he slammed a head on a pencil and did all this evil shit but you never got to see any of the gore so that was disappointing. I only watched this last week btw so I had a long time to digest its possible awesomeness. Came out rubbish.
