Yes I am an EMT. I bet I know more than you on most medical subjects. There would really be no reason for an EMT to need to know a lot about marijuana as there are hardly any emergencies caused by marijuana. The only thing an EMT would really need to know is allergic reaction (which I would have them take benadryl or stick them with an epi-pen) or certain drug which react negatively with THC. In the case of the drugs that react negatively, there would hardly be anything I could do besides keep them alive until I got to the hospital because you can not extract the THC from their body. (unless they recently ate the weed, in which case activated charcol MAY help absorb some of the THC that has not already got into their blood stream)

I really hope you get into a terrible accident and I am there. Guess what, unless I am on duty I have NO obligation to help you in any way.

Not at all. As long as I am not on the scene yelling I am an EMT and flashing my certification I have no legal obligation to help. In fact I could not even be sued if I did decide to help and I screwed up because I would be acting under the good samaritan laws and not the EMS laws. People have died in front of me before, nothing new man.
