Smoking stems?

I think you can.. but it is pointless in my opinion... if you smoke a lot of stems.. i'm sure you will be high. after all.. it is part of the marijuana plant

heres the deal: stems will get you high if you smoke enough. However, be smart. the inner core of stems is pure fibre. it will not get you high. the outer layer however is where all the chemical transfer around the plant is. i smoked some stem-skin (which i shaved off) and it got me about 1/4 as high as a similar quantity of the bud did
but it burnt like fuck and i had a sore throat for days after.

so use a bong, and only smoke the skin of the stem

that is, if you MUST smoke stem (as i did that night - i was dry), otherwise dont.

lol I used to sell my old stems to a kid cuz he couldnt afford bud, but yes it will still get you good and high.

Peel the stems. There is a white wood underneath that green exterior, that is basically like the veins of the plant. it's called "Pith". Basically all the nutrients and thc are carried up the center of the stem...

the part you WANT to smoke is the outter skin of the stem. that has the most thc, don't smoke the entire stem, you'll get a really nasty woody taste in your mouth.. probably get sick of it, and never try smoking stems again.

peel em like a banana, and chop the skins up and bowl it.. it'll be harsh, but not as near as harsh if you were to chop up the entire stem..

give it a try.

OR, grind up all the stems and make some tea!

 

nar man the veins are in the skin, thats why they get you high, caus the thc travels through the veins that are connected to buds. the inner core is as you said, wood, its the substance of the plant, while the veins are in the skin of the tree. thats why if you cut into the bark all the way around a tree and get into it, you will kill the tree because its roots are seperated from the rest of the plant

I've smoked the inner core of stem.. it's not the most pleasent thing in the world.. especially if you find out AFTER you smoke it.. that it didn't do anything

i remember something about putting the stems in something like vodka, letting them soak for sometime, then you got like thc charged vodka. wicked

 

You're exactly right..I've done that a few times. Drastic times calls for drastic measures. I always have several roaches to throw off in the mix as well.

 

you can smoke em. or you can make em into tea.
