I sold those concert tickets I didn't want anymore. got all my money back too.

 

i was in school to be a fire controlman before the navy sent me home. lt could have been me, just as easily as it was those we lost. my heart aches for my navy family today. ive said it before, and i will say it for ever.... they dont un-swear you when you get out. you dont "un" an oath. well, i dont anyway.
all the navy past and present and future are my shipmates.

at night, most would be sleeping. the breached berths held 116, minus those on watch or taking a shit. the most likely thing is that those killed died by the impact, and therefore were lacking in hustle to get out before the compartment was sealed off. small comfort, that. they were likely dead or unconscious before they were drowned. thinking of that, and my own willingness to stand the night watches, maybe it wouldnt have been me. who knows. its not the path i am on now, but it could easily have been my path, as i walked the start of it.
im far too close to my own mortality lately.

 

Turnips, beets, collards and "greens" (which I guess are the greens from turnip tops) are literally the most revolting, disgusting foods I've ever had the displeasure of putting in my mouth.

I truly think I would be like that man I've seen from somewhere that got used to eating leaves from trees and some wood, especially if it was the wood from herbs. I'm talking rosemary, St. John's Wort, etc - that kind of herb (lol) before I could eat any of those ^^^ things without throwing them right back up. I remember a friend a long time ago showed me how to eat/suck on sweet grass. That was pretty neat.

I will find a lawnmower doctor this week, or buy another one. Its past time for me to mow down the snake-beds growing all around here. :unsure: The other day WITH MY BOOTS ON, I was walking outside the fence (but still barely on my property) and I came across a little bitty cotton mouth....he was real little - his mommy hadn't had him long. They are born LIVE. I didn't bother to hang around and see if I saw her or its siblings. :yikes:?

 

Told him to, lay down nicely and sit still.

He didn't know what to do.

Hehe. he's having a good sleep at the moment. When we went for the dog walk with the other two it was he first time Atreyú had stopped from exhaustion but it was more the other two were knackered so Atreyú just stopped too. Even the couple asked how long to go and we said we'd never seen him quit at all if there's a ball he will not stop and never has.

So while their dogs are trying to rest I'm still kicking a ball around and Atreyú while slowly getting to it, he wasn't about to take a rest when there were still balls.

We also had some trouble that day from someone with a border collie. I know they're good playful dogs but this other couple had their dog off lead and we already claimed the oval and when we saw it we all got our 3 dogs and leashed them, but this other dog just kept coming over stirring them up so the old fella we were with he yells out "we've done the right thing with our dogs, we have leashed them, you leash yours and we won't have a problem"

Well of course this guy was an asshole wasn't he and refused to until I think his missus may have told him we had a point because we saw them leash theirs maybe 100m or so up the road. Dickheads. Anyway we see them enough so probably made an enemy now lol.

Good morning, spent an hour reading this.. omg why did I do that?

I had a great weekend in Blackpool. Hotel had a pool, and the little one and my cousin were having fun splashing about, ducking each other. Kids only allowed certain times of the day, so I'm guessing they expect that.
So the old guy complained, and didn't like they told him that he swam in the children's time, way to go... Narky old shite, you never had water in your eye.. a smiled and said good morning as e upped and left, had the pool and jacuzzi to ourselves.. guy walked out with noodles balls an floats.. said to the little one, stay longer, there is another I don't like will be here soon.. laughed till I cried, little one didn't get it..
