thought bout doing that here, as Ive only a couple rooms to cool. but grabbed the 99$ 5kbtu window units. two downstairs and one up top .. freezing when it was 90 outside. super cold this morning when it was only 65F ,18C outside

 

tbh i dont give a shit who post in there.. what makes it so special.. as well .. so much traffic is dead here...... stupid rule. but Im stupid on thc .. tbh...

 

I have a very "cool" comfort zone. It's pretty much air conditioning all warm months. =p I just can't stand sweating it makes me feel so eww.

not hot inside right now. Ive to open the door some.. e-man come today, read the meter. last juice bill was 109$ not bad for whats going on inside.. when a cable bill that provides no work energy cost 130$

and also how narrow a window "comfort zone" falls into
and also that it is in degrees celsius....

if you say we need an AC, i trust you honey. 100%. we will find a way to fit it into our budget. im too toasted to know right now, its that fucking hot here. im wearing g-damn shortshorts and a wet tee, and im still ridiculously hot. but rum! so ill pretend im not that hot, and just drunk.

such a narrow window of comfort.... makes me thing fore-mothers/ fathers were onto something with the sod/ underground houses.
so, of course, i tried to impart some lil house on the prairie knowledge to the big kid.

following the chart left on the last pages ... this the most accurate way to have comfort. almost impossible for window units.

you want your ac to run all the time.. not come on and make ice and then shut down.. 20 degree temp difference of incoming , return air and out going air.. my bad ,, I just grabbed a chart off the web. ..72F with a RH of 50% usually the best zone/ the added humidity makes people the most comfortable. 75F and 80% RH you feel like its the 80s. ideally you want to remove the excess water and this will make you feel cooler. Real feel not a big thing when its hot.. only care when its windy and ice cooled.. which is the same. subcooling , dry at 20F will freeze u.. the moisture it being pulled from you. same as AC.. u feel warmer in a wet snow. 32F humidity 60%.. thats nice time to play in wet snow.

 

Ive a universal EPA refrigeration card .. basically the AC course designed to save you the hassle of 1.5yrs school. completed in 4months.. heating. well thats another thing.. fire is fire lol. you get warm.. but AC is a bit different..

Hello there.
I haven't bothered reading the whole thread to catch up to where everyone is.
But I couldn't let a "chat" thread go by without joining in somehow.

So, in other news, I got a new key board for Father's Day.
I'm still getting used to it, but it seems like it'll work out alright within the next week or so.

Which also means that the next time I have to take a pic of the beer I'm drinking to post it to the Kick Box thread, I'll no longer have the shitty keyboard in the background!
