Are you saying that because a cashew isn't a nut? Because I always tell my lady that I I want some peanuts when I really mean cashews and it seems to irritate her. Because she has to keep telling me they aren't and I on purpose don't pay attention.

what the hell is the life expectancy on tents? like, the tent i used as a kid with my little brothers still holds up a-okay, its a little dome tent. made in korea, at least 25 years ago. the nylon isnt ripstop even, but its obviously a sufficient tent. weve been testing my parents old tents out to see whats worth keeping i think every one of the newer ones has rips, and one of them *i* ripped because of the stupid way the hinge part works, pinched and tore. the spots to stake it down are plastic, parts of the hinges... ugh. then, putting one of them back in the bag, and the BAG tore. ugh ugh.

i will probably end up upcycling the usable parts. eventually. one of the big fancy ones doesnt even have a tarp bottom. its the same crappy tearable nylon as the sides. i mean, i know planned obsolescence is a thing, but super shitty if you keep stuff "in case you need it"

one of them is an old winnebago tent too. the poles are heavy as hell (no way im packing that monster in ANYWHERE) and theres some tearing, but a lot of the material still seems good. might salvage the top canvas part and the bottom tarp, if nothing else. i like stuff that lasts, you know, forever. or at least through more than one generation.

Here's my polished up ready to go again Aramith casino colors balls. I use a special liquid from Aramith to clean them because..
Fun Fact: the balls create static charge from the felt friction and over a long shot it could deviate from side to side pending the static charge.

So I use the special cleaner to wipe away static and I use a anti static cloth and it feels so weird too like it picks up all your dry skin on your hands and makes them feel really weird..
