When I smoke, which is about one pack per every two months, I always purchase Parliament Lights 100. Why? Because my parents smoke them.
I smoke Next or Canadian Classics or DK's all of which I believe are strictly Canadian (not sure about Next).
I used to smoke Salems when I first started. After I stopped for a year and a half, they had a metallic taste to them, so I switched to Marlboro. I then switched to rolling my own, but then the State raised the tax on loose tobacco. It went from $10 a bag to $40 overnight. Now I smoke Mavericks because they are cheaper. There's a new Cigar Shoppe that opened right down the street from me, and they sell loose tobacco at a decent price, so sometimes I roll my own from time to time.
I used to smoke those when I was in my 20's... Just thinking about it, that was a fugging long time ago.
They probably aren't a strong as they were back then, all cig's changed to lighter tobacco with the laws about allowable tar levels. I switched to straights from camel filters in the mid 80s. I swear the straights are still just tobacco, no additive 'cept a little in the paper. All the other camels, along with all other brands of cigs always eventually give me a freakin' headache. American spirit is really great tobacco, just too 'bright' for me, I like the Turkish blended with the Virginian. :2thumbsup:
I used to smoke European brands until the last federal tax thingy and they stopped importing... Drum, Sampson, Bali Shag, etc. They still sell Drum here but the name is under license to the Top tobacco company and it's just Top that has been fine cut. uke:
Lol, I noticed that last time I bummed a drum from a dude, remembering it being OK for a dutch style tobacco... yep, I about chucked too. :ack2:
