Smoker's Courtesy

Post a rule or two I'll start:

When passing a hash spliff, make sure to hold it horizontally so not to drop hot rocks on the recipient's hand.

There's a funny one, where you have to pass it to the left (I don't know if it's universal), though this doen't necessary mean you're sitting in a circle. So if you're all standing up and mingling, dancing or whatever and there's several spliffs in the room, there's all kinds of seruptitious serveillance and covert manouvrings, as evryone manipulates themselves towards the left hands of the current smokers. Then there's team efforts where someone moves to the smoker's right hand just as their accomplice taps the smoker on the shoulder and engages their attention
It's not as intense as it sounds, it all happens almost subconsciously. You probably know all about it

Anyway, more rules! I want a definitive list here.

 

i've always heard that its rude to eat the roach of a joint, although in some circles its considered proper.

if ur smoking sumone elses weed with a couple of people in a bong or pipe, and u have the privelidge of the first hit, dont burn up all the green, corner the
bowl

The only rule my circle abides by is: Get as wasted as possible.

I just hit it and pass it on. Nothing special. There shouldn't be any rules on how to get high.

^^^that just prompted a little rant. it is puff puff on a joint, so please don't hit the joint i just rolled 4 or 5 times, that's just rude.

and if it's a blunt, and the standard is to hit it 3 to 5 times, just be courteous and don't take like 7. it's disappointing to see.

 

Yeah, i hate it when people take a bunch of hits off a joint that i rolled... reminds me of the scene in 'half baked' when snoop dogg smokes the joint that thurgood and brian just lit

I thought I recognized that.

And when we say we make the rules it doesnt mean like real rules just like which way to pass it. Not like when you hit it stand on one foot and scream your hit out. Just little things.

 

i thinkt he general rule should be: dont be an asshole.

 

thats what it is. you could replace the words pipe, joint, or bong with anything like plate of potatoes or soda.
