And then there's those of us who think that people should at least glance at the FAQ instead of posting about how they didn't feel like it Took me maybe two minutes to pull this quote: ...
If they smell, it's highly likely it is mold. 1) Stop using the wax 2) Do a deep cleanse/ACV wash to help get rid of the mold 3) Lather the dreads as well when you wash If you use a bicarb rinse, put Tea Tree oil in it- it is an anti-bacterial.
wax related aside: was in a store today and the clerk asked me how long it took me to 'do' my dreads. i resisted the temptation to comment on his unfortunate phrasing, and had a little chat with him. he mentioned that he used wax and that he 'started his locks' by not washing his hair for two weeks and i swear i must've made a face as if i'd just seen bigfoot or something. i forgot that most people have dirty waxy dreads, f'real. i now feel a little sick that he said he thought my dreads look cool. do i take that as a compliment or do i assume he thinks they look dirty and waxy???
well I'll be there for ages trying to dry it and it just seems like it does nothing. I suppose it's not enough to penetrate the dreads cause they're quite fat. And yeah I waxed but only for a few months to keep them neat. I'm not hugely anti wax like other on here but I do think 2 years is waayy to long.
