Hello, I found a rather old (maybe last millenium...) bottle of the Aramis fragrance somewhere in my stuff. I tried it. And what should I say, it smells like... piss. After some time it isn't that strong anymore, but the urine smell is still there. Strange, I liked it in the past. I wonder what happened. Did my olfactory nerves change? The chemistry of my skin? The chemistry of the fragrance? Or did it always smell like that and I didn't care ? Regards Gyro
If your Aramis was good, it would smell like poo poo. If it smells like pee pee, that means it's gone bad.
Hello, hm, smelling is an individual thing. Someone else (or my former self) could come to the conclusion that it smells great. Or it's gone bad, as you said. Regards Gyro
Scents react with your natural body oils and hormones. It is possible that your body chemistry as changed and that is why you don't like that scent on you any more. Next is a trip out to find out what scent is better for you. Or stick with soap and water as that can be lovely as well.
Gooood morning, that might be, yes. Hm, last night I had a great idea . If I really make it to a shop one day, I could sniff at the product fresh from production there. If it's still in production . That should answer the question. I've changed a few years ago. It's a royal PITA to find out what scent suits me, so I'm not looking forward to go through the process of choosing again. At least not after five or ten years . Soap? Hm, it's made of dead pigs and other cadavers. Does it really help? Regards Gyro
Time Has Taken It's Toll, I Have A Half Used Bottle Of My Fave " Eu Savage" About 6 Years Old And It Smells Like Horse Sweat. Over Time Things Like Spirits Evaporate, Tis Nothing You Can Do But Replace It I'm Afraid.... Cheers Glen.
Hello, hmm, horse sweat is the new spanish fly . Sell it on epay in small quantities and make a fortune . Regards Gyro
Hello, it's all a question of the right advertising . Australian Horse Sweat and variants like Australian Horse Sweat -extra strong- and Australian Horse Sweat -traditional- might be a start. Regards Gyro
yes the chemistry of the fragrance changes over time. the fixative of fragrances is whale snot. or was. i suppose they make some kind of synthetic substitute for it now, but yah, when the fragrance flavor dies, it smells like piss. also it does interact with body chemistry, and yes that changes as we age too. women over 40 should NEVER wear attar of roses. or anything close. ever. also not all soaps are made of lie and lard. that was the old way. still the basis i suppose of simple soaps. but your nonalkaline soaps, mean just that. they contain neither of these things. and are highly recomended for people with any sort of skin condition. an interesting soap addative though, is caffine. if you can find a soap with caffine in it, this may overcome some of its other problems. as far as i know, you won't find it an ordinary store, or a beauty store either. but you can find non-alkiline soaps in bar or liquid form, almost eveywhere. you just sort of need to read the labels.
