    It seems from the initial posting that a "smelfie" is a picture of oneself smoking. The space in the original posting doesn't look like a bathroom, or any space in which there would be a toilet, so "selfie seated on the toilet" may be one meaning of the word, but "selfie while smoking" is what the original poster was apparently aiming for.

    I smoked for 17 years (quit 25 ago), and I've never seen a picture of me smoking. I can't remember one ever being taken, but there probably were some. Cellphone cameras have only been around for about a dozen years, so definitely no selfies while smoking.
