I couldn't have said it better :sunglasse My dreamtime is important to me, 8-9 hours a day. I can still get what I want to get done, and have the relaxation and peace that a night's sleep brings...bravo for sleep!!! And...no pills for me...
yep, me too. But they won't be able to develop something like that with absolutely no negative sideaffects, so why worry about it? I mean, I enjoy my sleep but the best is being able to lay in your bed and not have to get up just yet, just rest there and think or roll around or clear your mind, it's soooo good, that just-woke-up part of hte morning
no...i love sleeping too much. i love napping. napping fills up a lot of my day, like sometimes up to 6 hours a day.
I would just use it for midterms and finals and pre conference weekends...I enjoy my sleep and DREAMS...what would happen to that other world that emerges once my mind is quiet and calm? And you need 4 hours to get REM sleep so that would been no dreams in color for me.
Why do what's natural when you can cheat with a pill? Pills are perfectly good substitutes for diet and excercise... so why not sleep?? Well were at it... let's make a pill that makes our hair and skin dirt-repellant so we don't have to waste time doing things like bathing.... You see,
I know you're being a smart ass, but... I wish I didn't have to shower...it's a waste of time...but I also don't want to stink, so...there ya go.
Do you want all of the reasons or the generic, "It's our bodies time to repair itself"? I would take one on occasion whenever I had a busy day ahead of me or an extremely late night that I knew I'd have a hard time recovering from, butI wouldn't take it every day. I love to sleep. Seriously there are times where I'll sleep 12-14 hours a day for a week or so at a time, and then there are the periods where I'll sleep 4-5 hours a day. Honestly though, I can't imagine how unhealthy that would be to your body to only sleep 2 hours a day. I'm sure it's not something they would recommend making a habit of regardless of standard side effects. I agree with whoever mentioned your body aging faster that way. I think the overall effect of prolonged use(again, regardless of side effects of the pill itself) and running your body that long and hard on an artificial "awake" feeling would be devastating.
