I saw the title and I had this horrible idea that the Real Kinky crowd had just invaded RT.

(Except I've always suspected that lot ARE actually RT, just with different user-nics...)

 

Yeah, really. Good. You don't slap babies/children/young adults...

 

what an abomination of justice to even bring this to trial. if the parents were doing there job in raising their child, this wonderful man wouldn't have had to intervene.

guy should be recieving a medal, not facing jail time

I heard some lady spanking her kid yesterday. I had my window open. I felt bad for the kid but I didn't really know the context or if the kid was overreacting by screaming as kids are likely to do.

But I don't like the hitting of children. Maybe a slap on the butt if they're not getting the message, but nothing more than that and never hard enough to leave a mark..

 

A toddler? No way would my toddler even sit next to anyone else on a plane. When I'm on a plane with my kids they sit next to me, no exceptions. That wouldn't have been one man slapping a toddler, that would've been an adult fight if I was there.

 

I'm sure it will come up in the trial that the guy was on his way to decide whether or not to Pull his own son off of life support. I would imagine that facing that decision could send anyone to a very dark place

 

I have to agree. I'm not saying what he did was anywhere near right, but sometimes being in a bad emotional place can make a person do crazy shit.

 

I guess it depends on what he thinks now...
If he did racially abuse the child, I don't give a toss what emotional turmoil he was going through...
But yeah, apart from that, other issues can be taken into consideration...
If he was racially abusive...he's racially abusive, anyway...and that makes him a ****.

I'm actually a gentle person, but if I saw someone hitting--YOUR - kid --I would intervene. Immediately.
