well thats becuase they have to kill that shit to survive.
Raising gators on a farm... Theres no point in killing them for boots or their heads. There is no gain except money, which to me isnt worth it.

Im pretty sure they dont even use them as food but... Then again im not sure at all.

Theyre treated like shit along with all the other animals that are bred to be killed.

This coming from the wannabe rasta/vegetarian. I know its tough to do lad but try and note the sarcasm in some of my posts... I don't think alligators are really too worried about how they are treated as long as they get their din din. They aren't the most emotional of all the critters raised in farms... I would think youd be a bit more worried about where that bacon came from your gunna eat in the morning than what a gator thinks about its living conditions.

I guess if its only environmental reasons... For me it would have been the pain the animals go through. Thats about the only reason i wanna be vegetarian. And the fact that eating meat like that is unnecessary for survival.

So i guess i cant say, what if you miss the head and just leave half their bones broken, or break some legs and they escape, and have to try and survive as a gimp.
To me that is just not right....

I think that most white people that come to this understanding become very much more open-minded people. It seems like the bigger the difference in attitude (before and after the event of realization) the stronger the person is about the topic.

I am really thankful that I realized my ways at a young age and that I attend a VERY diverse school

........... shit i dont eat meat every meal. Mostly its chicken. Bacon is good as hell though. And no im not worried where it came from. I would be more worried about what the gator thinks...

 

Only reason I have ever considered vegetarianism is simply it is a healthier diet. I couldn't give a fuck about the "pain". Sure I'm a heartless, red meat eating, right wing conservative - but I feel that animals were put on this Earth as a part of an energy web. My brain and intuition as a human classifies me as a top-notch predator...though bears can still kill and eat me - fine.

As far as environmental? I only eat US beef - none of that Amazonian, rainforest destruction meat!

Funny if your so worried about animals feeling pain I would think you would feel much more guilty about pigs. When pigs are raised in factory farms... oh bother I dont feel like getttin into it. I dont really stand behind this to say, but I dont like when people think humans are the greatest species. I have love for all animals. Weird i know. Even if they try to eat me. Like one of my teachers said god put aniamls here for mans enjoyment or something, I thought of it more like. God made us smart so we can save other animals, not kill them all...

Sure i feel guilty but it tastes so good. I dont like fucking pork though. Only bacon from pigs. And if i could i wouldnt eat any meat. Its just hard for me to be a vegetarian when all of my family eats meat every day and i dont know how to cook shit.

Granted I like reptiles more then a fucking pig. I still like all animals. I tried to be vegetarian in this house. there was nothing for me to eat. Same thing at my school too. most meals include meat besides cheese fucking pizza and that shit gets old.

 

Its called evolution man. God didn't make us smart, were at the top of the food chain due to natural selection. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on your perspective) some people have also evolved to have empathy for potential prey giving them a disadvantage at survival (or advantage again depending on how things play out) Fortunately if things go the way "God" intended all the little pussy cry babies that worry about animals dying will die out to be replaced by the much better adapted omnivore man

Well...looking at the human species as an outside spectator, they would be recognized as the greatest species. We have conquered all of the world and settled in every conceivable climate. We have built cities, we have destroyed cities, and we can wipe out any other species (including ourselves) at any given moment. I'd say that is the most powerful.

As far as slaughterhouses? If they were meant to be pretty and fun, they'd be called amusement parks.

 

Before you start bitching and moaning about animal rights, quit being a fucking hypocrite and quit eating meat if you hate it so much. If its something really important to you learn how to cook, get a job, and buy your own groceries. That's what I did.
