what i said was that the teachings of rastafari until recently has been a hatred for the white race and it's nation(s). this comes from the story of japeth and his brothers in the bible or some shit like that. i can pull up the citations for this but there's really no need right now.two of the original 'rules' included superiority of the black raced - and hatred for the white race. the very type or retaliation that perpetuates racism. no wonder the rasta movement failed.

First part, well so do I. If you are white and you know that you as a person arent fully "being a yuppie" or what ever to rap... then why do you say that most white people are. Hell only young white people listen to rap anyway. (ok generalization and probably not 100% true) but... idk.

I know minoritys are treated poorly. Its easy to see. And help of sociology too. My teacher showed us this thing how they had a common "black first name" and a common "white first name" on the exact same job application things. Same exact last name, and other information. And the white name was picked more often. Im aware. And living with white people in the suburbs. Alot of kids are racist and its like they dont even understand what theyre talking about. They are just racist for the hell of it.

Exactly, that isn't my life. But a lot of whites are Christian, yet a lot of them are also fearmongers that try to distance themselves from Middle Easterns - quite hilarious to me.

Racism tends to exist just for the hell of it. It is conscientious peoples' responsibility to educate, as I try to do myself. It doesn't have to be confrontational or anything, but often turns that way as people don't want to be racist, but they also don't want to change their ways because they suddenly find that they are in fact perpetuating racist actions. It's a knee-jerk reaction and I myself did the same thing; my sister and I were discussing it and I got real pissed off at her for simply pointing out my own faults...it's all good now though.

This is just my own beliefs because as soon as the emancipation was enacted and the whole 40 acres/mule deal (if they even got it) their living conditions were so poor, they often starved. At least (and in no way is this justification) in slavery, they ate. This is why many blacks went back to work on plantations on pretty much the same conditions as slavery.

Well...the point is that white christians HAVEN'T suffered and to say all have suffered is making small out of huge and awful events. I'm not saying individuals haven't suffered, but INDIVIDUALLY those would have suffered regardless of race/religion.
