oh lol...actually i was just bein a "silly white kid" makin a lame joke...actually goin back to what you wrote it was fine, didn't need any "for"...i was tryin to say "wood doesnt come from tree's"...not that tree's can't actually make wood because they're inanimate objects... i should have included a silly face in my other post though  somethin like him
.... ooooooooo. april fools right :toetap05: i hope.. anyway, wood does come from trees. trees make wood and oxygen and cool stuff. Like hats. :hat:
Unrelated to the main discussion, but for those wondering how being a vegetarian helps the environment, this is a great article. http://www.naturalnews.com/022402.html
i once had a tree hat..........and then a hurricane picked me up and threw me at a trailer house :smash:
It requires a massive amount of food to feed animals raised for meat. The energy you get out of a cow is only a fraction of the energy it takes to raise it. If we skipped the meat and got the energy straight from the plants the resources and the environmental devestation obtaining these resources requires would be lost. Much less people would be starving if humans were herbivores. Ever wonder why there are so many more herbivores than carnivores on this planet? It all relates to this.
Not cows. My uncle is a cattle farmer and he doesn't spend one cent feeding his cows because they just eat grass and nothing else. And their shit is collected and used for fertiziler Same as every other farmer in that area
Deforestation is mainly for cattle herding...nothing else can be done with the land once the trees are cut down. The trees are sold but that is only an initial payout. Besides, there are specific farms and forests for paper and lumber - they are logged in a way as to keep the ecosystem unharmed for the most part.

Yes but the land required to raise the cows could be used to grow plants to feed people, which would in turn result in much less lost energy. http://www.ciwf.org.uk/includes/documents/cm_docs/2008/s/science_worksheets_food_chains.pdf This diagram illustrates the concept beautifully.
Alot of land (my uncles farm for example) has infertile soil with ph readings to high to actually grow vegetation I'm not saying, every cattle farm is that way but the area he is in is
weird that haters are deemed cool. What is it ya'll feel you need to prove by being mean? Just trying to understand.
I like the mean people on here mainly because it's not that they're actually mean, but they don't put on an act of being nice. They're genuine. Seems like alot of the nice people on here are phony
If people who are disrespectful towards others' beliefs without provocation and do this clearly for their own entertainment are genuine, I think its safe to assume there are people in this world who are genuinely nice. It's called diversity.
Wow, I worded that real shittily, but I think you can get my point. Btw, I don't see any of this phony niceness you speak of. If you don't like nice people, what are you doing on hippy forums?
