This is what happens when people derive a sense of personal identity from nationalism.
Everyone argues about a ****ing hockey game.

LOL, i feel like the only way shit talking can take place is if you actually partook in the game yourself.

    otherwise... you're just a freeloading gloat-talking fool.

:smilielol5::smilielol5: Now that was funny, made going through this thread worthwhile. But anyhow just throwing out a congrads to Canada on a well fought game and a victory. But not really a huge decisive gloat worthy win but take what you can, it could have went either way in OT. Also I'm very proud of what our team accomplished, a silver is nothing to be ashamed of considering we were not even expected to make the finals.:cheers2:

Or when they think sports matter. And to think hockey matters?

I bet less then 10% of the posters in this thread even watch sports on a regular basis.

hockey is the only sport I DO care about...
i've played a lot of sports and nothing comes close to the intensity of hockey which is why its so great. Besides hockey the only other sports that interested me were the more laid back ones like pool, bowling, ping pong, etc... I gave all those up to play hockey though.

You know what hockey is missing... more direct clubbing action. That's why I switched to lacrosse. I think lacrosse on ice would be EPIC

You really mean, comprehend. I clearly read it.

And actually you said less than 10%, than a few, then not many. Which is it?!?!

    Ok, comprehend.. thanks.

Think about how many poster 10% of the ones in this thread are...

That equals a few, which equals not many. Same shit, different words.

canada is a beautiful country with much to admire, like how much fun it is to pick on canadians. like us in so many ways, but in others, SO NOT. i used to date a guy who called canada "america's annoying little brother". thanks for kicking all those poor acadians out, they settled in louisiana and made life in the deep south a hell of a lot more interesting. btw, why does the op have flint, michigan listed as his location?

Football, American football, basketball, baseball and even tennis are better then hockey imo. 'better' in my own personal sense of enjoyment from either watching or having played the sports. I definately respect the athleticism and strength is takes to be a professional hockey player and or olympian and gold medal winner. The chance to represent your country and make them proud is what the olympics are about.
