Thrilling and suspenseful. I loved that homage of the title at the very end. Also, I noticed how the villain was smuggled in to about halfway through the film where he was first named as a murderer. It was clever seeing as though I should have spotted this already.
He was better in the Raven trailer. I just googled Ed Wood. It reminds me of the Vincent Van Gogh of films. I came across this The film (The Black Sleep 1956) marked Bela Lugosi's last complete role before his death in August 1956, although some scenes featuring Lugosi were later included in Ed Wood's Plan 9 from Outer Space (in which Tor Johnson also appears), completed in 1957 but not released for distribution until 1959.[2]
Suspense, dark and very, very disturbing. Said to be Bela's last role. What a role to go out with. What a line too! "Cat's have nine lives."
Started as a Bela Lugosi horror thread. Now anything of the silver screen era post silent movies of which is known as the Talkie Era.
Ok I have an old book on movies that belonged to my Grandmother. I will see what I can find to add on this.
The "pioneering" comedy horror film was One Exciting Night (1922), written, directed and produced by D. W. Griffith, who noticed the stage success of the genre and foresaw a cinematic translation. Add your own sound. lol
