There was a syndicated documentary in the late 70s called That's Hollywood narrated by Tom Bosley that showcased the work of 20th Century Fox. In the early 70s there was a similar-themed film called That's Entertainment that showcased the work of MGM. Both had plenty of nostalgic entertainment clips. .
The State. It was a sketch comedy show that MTV ran for a bit in the mid 90s it featured Micchael Ian Black, and Michael Showalter from Michael and Michael Have Issues David Wain from Stella, Thomas Lennen, Ben Garant and Kerry Kinney Silver from Reno 911: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HdT8R3TBW8s"]YouTube- FUNNY MTV "THE STATE" SPOOF OF SNUGGLE BEAR COMMERCIAL https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gR1hI_Ikuv8"]YouTube- The State MTV: Louie "I Wanna Dip My Balls..." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=prfRH01iG1U&feature=related"]YouTube- The State - Old Fashioned Guy Peace Out, Rev J
You must be thinking of the Twilight Zone .The show I am speaking of (Night Gallery ) isn't shown anymore that I am aware of .
She was thinking about the Twilight Zone Marathon I love those two clips on the Night Gallery especially the one featuring the Cthulhu mythos My favorite episode starred Dennis Weaver and the problem with earwigs Hotwater
oops, i stand corrected - yep, i was talking about the Twilight Zone, but i'm pretty sure over the past few months i've seen an episode or two of Night Gallery on the tube, just can't remember which network was running it on a separate but similar note - what about the Night Stalker series? man, that was some creepy good fun! one of my faves was the zombie episode
He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, Angry Beavers, G.I. Joe A Real American Hero, Dragonball, Dragonball Z, Transformers, Spider-Man, Batman, Happy Days.... Actually I heard Happy Days is coming on WGN in the fall. Which is good cause I like that show.
Hello, all....anyone remember an old TV show from the late 50's or early 60's by the name of 'Naked City'? I can remember watching a few episodes of this police/drama type show way back when. Also, I seem to recall part of the dialogue during the opening credits, "Every city has a story....." Strange as it may seem, no one else seems to remember this show and Google searches bring up nothing on this particular title. It's almost as though the program never existed!?!??
The Bowery Boys. Not really a TV show. More along the lines of movies and shorts, similar in format to The Three Stooges and Abbott and Costello. Their films used to be shown on TV but seem to have disappeared from the visible universe. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Bowery_Boys .
He Man and the Masters of the Universe.... THAT CARTOON NEVER COMES ON ANYMORE! I have a couple episodes recorded on VHS.... but thats all.... Edit: I just realized I posted this same thing in this thread a couple months ago.
no one runs the Little Rascals film shorts anymore either, bummer........perhaps they're not considered politically correct for this day and age? some great stuff though!
I heard that they were owned by someone who just wouldn't let them be aired....stop me if this is just stupid, but I heard that it was Bill Cosby...or maybe Bing Crosby...one of them didn't want anyone to see The Little Rascals anymore. TV Land used to have the Monkees on late at night. Loved it. I also miss Tiny Toon Adventures. And there was this old Nick show with a white bear that had all these cool adventures...miss that one too. Liked CatDog and Rocket Power and All That...pretty much every 90s Nick show that was my childhood. Le sigh...
