I think a real true vegan wouldn't. Because a big reason at least a lot of them are vegans is because of how the animals are treated and slaughtered.
and I really don't want to get into a big vegan debate but... Being vegan is my personal choice and I have been vegetarian/vegan for the majority of my life. There are a lot of factors as to why I'm vegan and yes, animal treatment/murder is the number one reason but what being vegan means is that I will not consume animal flesh or products. Would I be contradicting myself if I happen to Touch meat in a work place? No. I'm not eating the animal. Would I think it's fucking disgusting? Yes. Would I think it's selfish for the person eating the meat to do so? Yes.
You're probably right. I think it is stupid and unnatural. But I have a lot of friends that are vegans. And none of them look particularly healthy..
It just seems hypocritical to me to actually make yourself part of the chain from slaughterhouse to table for consumption. It's like someone being against drugs but selling them to others.
And am I actually working there? No. Will I? Most likely not. Have I ever worked in a place where I had to handle meat? Nope!
Because anyone that doesn't eat a bloody steak or a nice juicy burger from time to time is missing out. That and animal products are the best source of protein.
nope, right thread. people were talking about steaks as the place you want to work serves steaks and you are a vegan. which thread did you think this was?
