Should barefoot get its own listing instead of under the subforum "bare it" ?

I think the differences in nudism and barefooting are greater then the similarities for example the whole barefoot running thing. We should have our own listing under alt lifestyle.

Now that I think about it more I think maybe our forum belongs on the same page listing with Vegetarian and health ect. I get the logic of listing us with "Bare It" but this is hip forums as in hippie and barefoot goes with hippie like PB goes with J so I think we need to be more front page.

Anyone agree?

Nope. It’s been where it has been and appears to be doing just fine. I don’t think making it more “up front, man” will attract more barefooters. And do people still use the term “hippy”???

yeah i really don't see the point of changing it. lots of subforums are kind of different from their parent forum, which is why they are separate forums.

i don't see barefooting as alt lifestyle at all really. it's not even a lifestyle, it's a clothing choice. there's no "fedora hat wearer" subforum under alt lifestyles either.

 

Nah, it's all lumped in with showing off parts that are generally always covered or at least have protection. Either being naked or going barefoot in non-barefooting places are in the same vein.

 

not really. go to the store or out and about naked and folks will notice, don't wear shoes and 99.9% of folks don't give a flying fuck.

Been there. Not that I minded them, but I was barefoot in a store one time wearing long pants so only my toes were showing, and the woman behind me in line was definitely staring at my feet

 

Both clothes and shoes are needed only as a factor of the natural or unnatural environment. We generally overdress, either due to fashion or culture, and we often torture ourselves with clothing that doesn’t fit naturally on our bodies and overheats us. Sometimes we need to ditch or modify our clothing.......sometimes change our environment.
