Shod Sos

If you're barefoot at home and out (particularly out, doing chores, shopping, dining), and your SO is NOT a barefooter, how do you manage domestically?
My SO has gotten used to it over the years, but when we're out together (dinner, a show), I "shoe up" (socklessly).
On my own, it's barefoot or bust. Otherwise, I do risk getting busted.
That's our peace treaty. Any others?

What, an SOS emergency as in if you're wearing shoes, stop it immediately?! If only.

I'm much in the same position as you, NP. My SO tolerates it but doesn't like it. I get occasional hints like "have you got your shoes?", as if she's suddenly surprised I'm not wearing any.

Fortunately I'm in the position where my partner has a bit of a fetish for bare, dirty feet....so I consider myself blessed :D

Bare feet have never been a problem. I might get asked if I am going to put a shirt on but it isn't an issue if I don't, and if I'm having to use the crutches it is expected that I will be shirtless. My bare feet have never once been mentioned, that is just accepted as normal.
