Snow White and the Huntsman is one of my personal owned DVD's. It nice, but a bit overly fluffy for my taste.

The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo is five-stars in my book. I wouldn't say that the Daniel Craig character was an ass - I would say he was who he was. A helluva lot better than most men would be, in his position...yet still limited in how much he could let go of his personal cultural obsessions. And that is a test for each of us. And that is a major piece of what this movie is about.

The amazing thing for me is how she could make that personal decision in an INSTANT. She shrugged it off. She let him be who he was, realizing he couldn't be the man she wanted him to be - and she was able to grasp that and act on it with barely a moment's thought.

Would that we could all be that clear about our lives and our choices. Amen, Lynn?

Thanks, Zg! In a very twisted way I envy you your Deanna...although I must admit she would probably assist me into the local tri-state "hospital" (asylum). It is said "better the devil you know", right? And in saying all of that, I must say there are times I think I've "heard" D say you are coming along fine...whatever that means. So...I may be more than half way there to the "hospital" anyway.

I have recently been "gifted" (we'll call it that) with the insight as to why I am in the place (here in this town, in this house, with my mother) where I SWORE ON ALL THAT WAS HOLY that I would never come back to. Of course I did that years ago. Yay for "receiving insight", huh.

And you are right in that it appeared she was able to just shrug it off and throw away that expensive custom made leather jacket. She had been through so much, well, HELL...I wanted her to find a "for real" friend.

Deanna talks to some of my friends. Feel privileged that you're among them. "Privileged" being a slightly charged word, of course. I will tell you, Lynn - she loves you.

"Coming along fine" LOL. Yes, from her point of view I'm sure I am. From my point of view it's a long, arduous journey through the depths of hell. But it's getting better.

I do love her...very much. It's just...the shit she has done to me externally is practically demonic. And it is hard, hard, hard to reconcile those external acts with our internal relationship. But as she once told me - out loud, with her voice - "The inner is the real." So I try to have faith in the inner - with varying degrees of success.

Same with me and work tomorrow, dear. Praying you'll get the energy you need. :grouphug:
