    I feel really yucky :bigcry:

Who knew an ear could make your whole body come to a screeching slow-down?

:( :grouphug: Bacterial infection - him bad voodoo. The bacterial infections I remember are my two urethral infections - E. coli. Major fatigue, slight fever, and major pain. Those damn little buggers have a lot more heft than you'd expect for being microscopic.

    Okay, I'll change the subject.

For those of you who do, what ingredients are in "Shrimp Fried Rice" when you get it?

One of my 1st 3 memories is having earaches.

When I was about 5 1/2 yrs old, I still remember being held down at the doctor's office so they could lance my ears....BOTH ears. It took all the nurses (3 of them) and 1 doctor and my mother. The other doctor did the "lancing" (cutting). Back then, of course, they didn't have anything humane such as putting tubes in while you were asleep.

I remember an awful roaring noise and pain beyond belief. I must have blacked out after they did one because I don't remember the other one. But my mother (the sadist) said they did both ears, and that I was a "handful". lol :2thumbsup:

LOL...This woman I know that weighs in excess of 300 pounds won't let her little bitty dog have even a wee piece of "table food".

Of course, you can rest assured there are NO leftovers from her plate for the little dog to have. She caught me slipping him a little bread and YELLED AND YELLED. I just sat there and acted . :)

    Thanks, Aeri.

I've always known that pain was nothing avoided for me in my house. Now, my brother was treated differently. Oh...and that saying about what doesn't kill you makes you stronger is full of shit. It makes you (me) HATE PAIN, and willing to avoid it at any cost - especially in adulthood.

I never gave my dogs table scraps, at least to their knowledge... If they got anything like that it was well after dinner time. They never begged...

I hated my childhood dentist for most of my life. He would fill cavities with no novacaine or gas.

...Then one day my mother let it slip that she told him not to use anything on me because "she never felt any pain when she had to get a filling", or so goes the story she told me.

    I was traumatized.

Ummm...I think you mean, "Shlimp Flied Lice," don't you? Well, shrimp sometimes... :D peas, carrots, green onions...can't remember what else. Damn good stuff.

    WTF???

Nowadays that would constitute bona fide child abuse. She would have gotten what's called a "finding" of abuse. I used to work for one of those agencies...and had my own dealings with them, cuz of my crazy-ass stepdaughter making accusations against me...

LOL - I Love fried rice...and usually get chicken fried rice. I like everything but the peas and carrots...but that egg is necessary!

rf: Did anybody know that crows are considered "feathered apes" by scientists now? I've watched this special on PBS that was very interesting about crows. They did some experiments and studies, and even showed some of the experiments. They are as smart as apes/chimps in many ways, and are even able to make tools. By tools I do mean breaking off sticks in particular ways and using them to "fish" out different kinds of food.

I know that when I've taken a picture of them from a 2nd story window and they were on the ground, when the flash went off, they were GONE like the wind! They were literally never alone. I never saw less than 3 or 4 together, usually more.

I had a lot of ear infections when I was a wee lass. Got these tiny little puny tubes put in my ears that eventually just fall out. No moar ear infections.

Does Erin and the cat get along?

I found the show quite fascinating. I knew they were smart...but not as much as they apparently are.
