Broony, I feel your pain!

When I was a cook, for the most part, I was able to bite my tounge. Keep in mind it took me YEARS to gain this skill...and it IS a skill. Then, there would just be times that I wasn't able to do it. Like something would get in my head/mouth...and whatever I was holding in would come pouring out. That almost always got me in deep do-do.

And I want to know this - WHY IN THE HELL can a bartender or cook not roll their eyes?!? I mean - what is the damn big deal?!? If that is ALL someone did when I was requesting some outlandish shit, I would be FINE with someone rolling their eyes! Most people want to cry about it - be it customers or waitresses.

 

Their are a few of my fellow employees that are hard workers, but they are not good workers.

I get really sick pulling someone else's weight. It happens a lot because my fellow servers are mostly women, and not to be a jerk, but they do not carry the weight. I mean that literally now, their is tons of things at work that involve lifting and i always do it because it needs to be fucking done!!

i dont work for three days, so i am very happy, they need a break from me.

 

When i left i put the small empty trash can upside down to show i took all the shit out.

Living in a rental across the street from the house so I get to look at that shyt every morning when I look out the window, scabbing internet access off a neighbor's wireless, all my lost animals bodies still in "cold storage" in the garage except for the one I couldn't find, slowly seeing what might still work or be recoverable/rebuildable out of the studio and creating very long run-on sentences before having enough coffee to function...

Oh yeah.... The upstairs neighbor's kitchen sink leaks onto my bed...

 

My stepdaughter had to take time off of work because she injured herself from carrying all the plates they're required to carry. And she can't afford to take time off. And her arm is not healing as fast as it should be. She might need to find another way to make a living. Which is a pity, cuz she's a star server.

Can you move the bed? Nice to see back online, anyhoo.


I'm getting dinner for the family all this week, so my wife can jam away at completing her ministerial candidacy requirements before the deadline. Tonight's menu: Amy's frozen maccaroni & cheese dinners. Yes, I am the master of frozen cuisine.

Can’t fix the elliptical so had to order another one I'm not to happy about that went with a cheaper one it got good reviews some bad but mostly good ones

I still use my treadmill...I did about an hour this morning...

My daughter called me today, her and the little one were going to get their taxes done today...

 

Small bedroom is small... This place is owned by a plumber, that explains the leak. The only reason it's getting fixed today is it's messing up the new ceiling tiles that were replaced due to the water marks on them... Some people just have to prove it...

Still scabbing bandwidth... It's their sink that's leaking on the bed, I figure they owe me at least this much. Oh! and 3 nights sleep too. Don't ask...

That really sucks.

Serving requires you to be in a lot better shape than a lot of people may realize, all depends how far you carrying things, and the amount of it.

I really don't know how much i walk each day. I wanna say in a solid 8 hour shift i put in a mile every hour AT LEAST.... Which is too much at times..

Is your stepdaughter ambidextrous in holding trays with multiple martini glasses, opening wine bottles, ect ect ect. I can do everything at my work with both arms/hands except carrying a tray of 50lbs of plates, because i have to carrying it above my shoulder. I have never dropped a tray of such weight and i been in some sticky situations with people around me not aware of what im holding..for that reason, i dont do those things with my left.

Boxing has really helped my left side, and i think soon ill be able to do everything the job requires with both arms/hands.

 

Except I can't post. I tried and it told me I don't have permission. So I checked the little Posting Rules box at the bottom of the page, and it says, "You may not post new threads." And I'm thinkin, wtf? I'm a supporting member! I demand my rights as a citizen of HF! I was about ready to organize a mob with torches, pitchforks, and sickles and march on Skip's keep.

This is part of the problem, I think. I think she has just never really gotten a lot of exercise, and you are absolutely right - the job requires being in good physical shape. I asked her if she had exercises for physical therapy, and she said she did. I just think she really needs to do some weight workouts regularly. I asked if she could use her other arm, and she said she can't.

Hmmm...I haven't eaten chile in a LONG time...

 

If only I could mail you some. Lol. I just don't know how you can live,halfway without meat, and not go INSANE.
