Haha, she kinda does, doesn't she?

 

i was really into pink Floyd before and mostly Syd Barret`s pink Floyd. they were very influential, but right now i`m very far from listening them

 

i love pink floyd, thought it was an endless tragedy when Rick Wright died, it totally blew my hopes and dreams of them ever getting back together for one final fair well, so that i might be able to see them in concert, oh well, there's always cover bands i guess...

 

I would have loved to see them live. Gilmour is one of the most amazing and underrated guitarists of all time, I just finished listening to Animals, on Prissbaby's request (thanks for bringing my attention to this awesome album) and I can honestly say they are one of the greatest bands and most introspective bands of all time. The Wall still makes me take personal inventory every time I listen to it.

I saw them when I was in high school, and they started playing right at dusk with that song. I still think of that everytime I hear the beginning synthesizer sound

Priss, since you like Animals so much, how do you feel about The Wall? Do you like it too?

 

The Wall was the first album I ever listened to because my dad bought it for me at a relatively young age. I mean, I think it's great. not one of my top albums by any means, but I dig a lot of songs on it and still put it in occasionally

 

Yea, I definitely am a fan of it, but Wish You Were Here might be my favorite overall.

 

Oh, and I challenge anyone that doesn't think they like Shine on You Crazy Diamond to listen to it in its entirety, even if it kills ya. haha You WILL at least gain an appreciation for its meaning, even if you still don't totally dig it. It is a very powerful movement.

^^so am i. dean's dad actually produces the touring pink floyd laser spectacular, so i get a heavy dose, but i was dosing myself long before i was with dean, and they will never lose their magic for me. i think wish you were here is an incredible album. i like to roll down my windows and blast have a cigar. such a good fucking groove.

 

I'm glad I'm not the only one that appreciates them. I LOVE Have A Cigar.
