Shell To Quit Arctic Drilling Operations

Anglo-Dutch oil giant Shell has announced it is to quit its controversial drilling operations in the American Arctic.

It appears that they actually found very little there, but the worldwide protests have also had an effect on the decision.

The currently low prices per barrel scared off their shareholding Minions I hear.

 

yeah I would say low oil prices probably had some influence on their decision, this is not the greatest time to really drill down into the oil business. Pun intended

 

This only means the back burner.

 

Might be pretty bad / dumb timing on their part with so many members of the Advanced Biofuels Association coming up to commercial production capacity these days. :smoking:
