    Hello,

another day, another experiment. Today I had a small bottle of shaving oil in the mail. I ordered it just to check out how shaving with oil compares to shaving with soap. Besides others the oil contains extracts of juniper berries, rosemary and lavender. To me the bottle looks like a small butt plug, but I guess that's just how English design is ;).

    Hello,

if you store the milk long enough it can be peeled. But be aware, it's just a moment later when it starts talking to you ;).

I tried shaving oil and didn't like it. Didn't seem to give a cleaner shave or leave my skin moisturised.

sounds like a messy clean up and a slip and fall injury waiting to happen. do be careful with oils in the tub..

    Hello,

OK, we'll see. I'm a bit concerned that my razor doesn't work well with oil. It has this little stripe that should make it glide better with soap. I hope it will not stick to my face with oil ;).

You should use only three or four drops of oil. I bought 15ml (0.5oz?), that should last for about 90 shavings, or over one year, considering how often I shave ;).

    Regards

I had to wash my face with soap after using it to get the slime off.

    Hello,

hm, are there different sorts of oil? I've heard people just splash some cold water into their face to get rid of the blood and some even use shaving oil as an after shave.

Maybe the brand of oil you got was a better quality than mine. It was "King of Shaves" as I recall.

Also what works for one may not work for all :sunny:

I can't recall when I last cut myself shaving so blood isn't much of an issue. If my skin gets dry, I just apply a bit of moisturizing cream.

    Hello,

I bought 'Somersets', it's the cheapest I could get.

That's why I started the experiment. If it doesn't work out for me I'm back to the old-fashioned way ;).

    Regards
