    Anyway, as for the actual thread topic

    I'd have to actually get some emotions first so I can express them

    Unless you count either horny or judgemental as emotions

    Not as common as in cowboy land but we sell them in the shop I work at. I have a straw cowboy hat with a band of faux flowers. I think they're common at festivals.

    I don't know ; _ ;
    It's one of those ones that really confuses me however much I read about it.

    Whichever one I use, I become sure it's the other. So I wrote that as EFFECT and edited it to AFFECT and now I'm looking at it, feeling sure that it is actually Effect.

    One is a verb, the other a noun

    It annoys me too

  11. to affect
    to have an effect on

    If there's one thing my high school English teacher insisted on...
    This is why it bothers me now.

  12. Ok cool.

    I'm amazed at how often people use "loose" when they mean "lose".

    Just to mention one that I'm good at. But really, I see it frequently.

    Their is nothing wrong with how cowboy hats have they're affect on people. It's there choice to be effected.

    It doesn't really work in this instance but if an American brings it up, just say it's probably an American/British thing and we'll likely believe you.

    Practice/practise. Practice is the U.S. spelling. Practise the U.K.
